Afbeelding: ID <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dreamstime.com\/car-rides-along-winding-road-altai-mountains-mongolia-image181506991\">181506991<\/a> \u00a9 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dreamstime.com\/saltat007_info\">Saltat007<\/a> | <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dreamstime.com\/\">Dreamstime.com<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Een door de Aziatische Ontwikkelingsbank (ADB) gefinancierd project optimaliseert de veiligheid van de weg tussen Uliastai en Altai in Mongoli\u00eb, waardoor het verwachte aantal dodelijke slachtoffers en ernstige verwondingen met 51,71 ton wordt verminderd en veiligheidsresultaten van 4 en 5 sterren worden behaald.<\/p>\n<p>De VS$158 miljoen<em> Regionale wegenontwikkeling en -onderhoud \u2013 Fase 3-project<\/em> Het Mongoolse overheidsprogramma streeft ernaar inclusieve economische groei te bevorderen door belangrijke delen van het staatswegennet te moderniseren, de verkeersveiligheid te verbeteren, het beheer van infrastructuur te optimaliseren en de klimaatbestendigheid van twee cruciale routes \u2013 Uliastai-Altai (198 km) en Khovd-Ulaangom (163 km) \u2013 te versterken. Deze verbeteringen zijn essentieel voor de verbinding van de hoofdsteden van de westelijke aimag (provincies) van Mongoli\u00eb met de belangrijke oost-westverbindingen tussen het land en de Volksrepubliek China en de Russische Federatie.<\/p>\n<p>Als onderdeel van het project, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kocks-ing.de\/en\/\">Kocks Consult GmbH<\/a> iRAP kreeg de opdracht om de veiligheid van het voorgestelde ontwerp voor de wegverbetering van een traject van 140,8 km op de route Uliastai-Altai te evalueren met behulp van de iRAP Star Ratings-methodologie.<\/p>\n<p>De analyse bouwt voort op een basisbeoordeling van de bestaande weg die in 2023 is uitgevoerd, waardoor een veiligheidsanalyse v\u00f3\u00f3r en na de ingreep mogelijk is.<\/p>\n<p>De integratie van de aanbevelingen uit de iRAP-evaluatie in het ontwerp leidde tot indrukwekkende verbeteringen in de verkeersveiligheid:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Verhoogde veiligheid <\/strong>Voor inzittenden van voertuigen en motorrijders door middel van wegverharding en -verbreding, plaatsing van vangrails langs de weg, verbeterde afbakening met waarschuwingsborden en markeringen in belangrijke bochten, veiligere omstandigheden langs de weg en effectief snelheidsbeheer op kritieke locaties.<\/li>\n<li>A <strong>51,7% reductie in voorspelde dodelijke en ernstige verwondingen (FSI&#039;s)<\/strong> \u2013 waardoor naar schatting 118 FSI&#039;s over een periode van 20 jaar worden voorkomen.<\/li>\n<li><strong>De veiligheidssterrenclassificatie is aanzienlijk gestegen. <\/strong>Hoewel de bestaande weg overwegend een veiligheidsclassificatie van 1-2 sterren heeft (zeer hoog risico), behaalt 100% van de verbeterde ontwerplengte een veiligheidsclassificatie van 4 sterren of hoger voor inzittenden van voertuigen (inclusief 83% met de hoogste veiligheidsclassificatie van 5 sterren). Voor motorrijders behaalt 96% van de ontwerplengte een veiligheidsclassificatie van 4 sterren, 2.1% een veiligheidsclassificatie van 5 sterren en 2.1% een veiligheidsclassificatie van 3 sterren.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Voldoet ruimschoots aan de minimale 3-sterrenbeoordeling. <\/strong>Veiligheidsclassificatie vereist door zowel de ADB als de Global Road Safety Performance Target 3 van de Verenigde Naties.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Resultaten van de sterrenbeoordeling: Ontwerp versus de bestaande weg (basislijn).
