{"id":6312,"date":"2026-03-17T14:33:36","date_gmt":"2026-03-17T03:33:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress.temp.irap-dev.org\/advancing-road-safety-with-the-automobile-association-of-cambodia\/"},"modified":"2026-04-30T15:12:28","modified_gmt":"2026-04-30T05:12:28","slug":"advancing-road-safety-with-the-automobile-association-of-cambodia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/irap.org\/nl\/advancing-road-safety-with-the-automobile-association-of-cambodia\/","title":{"rendered":"Verdere vooruitgang in verkeersveiligheid met de Automobile Association of Cambodia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Luke Rogers, Global Operations Manager bij iRAP, was vorige week in Cambodja en maakte van de gelegenheid gebruik om een ontmoeting te hebben met Diana Mony, algemeen directeur van de Automobile Association of Cambodia.<\/p>\n<p>Ze bespraken allerlei aspecten van verkeersveiligheid, waaronder het werk van de iRAP-partners in Cambodja, een iRAP-project in samenwerking met het Ministerie van Openbare Werken en Vervoer, Star Rating for Schools-evaluaties die als basis dienen voor levensreddend beleid en verbeteringen in schoolzones, lokale en regionale verkeersveiligheidscampagnes, en mogelijkheden voor capaciteitsopbouw.<\/p>\n<p>In het kader van het door de partners geleide iRAP-initiatief zijn al 1.600 km aan wegen en ontwerpen en 16 scholen beoordeeld, wat van invloed is geweest op de veiligheid van 109 miljoen dollar aan infrastructuurinvesteringen in het land. A <a href=\"https:\/\/irap.org\/nl\/2023\/09\/improving-road-safety-in-cambodia-project-kicks-off\/\">900 km beoordeling<\/a> van het strategische wegennetwerk werd in 2024 voltooid, gefinancierd door de Asian Development Bank (ADB).<\/p>\n<p>In 2025, een <a href=\"https:\/\/starratingforschools.org\/2025\/07\/government-of-cambodia-launches-working-group-on-safe-school-zones-interventions-with-support-from-key-sr4s-partners\/\">Werkgroep Interventies Veilige Zones is gelanceerd<\/a>, waaronder belanghebbenden van de Cambodjaanse overheid, UNICEF Cambodja, FIA Foundation, de AIP Foundation, iRAP en Prudential Cambodja.
