{"id":6244,"date":"2026-02-26T03:51:53","date_gmt":"2026-02-25T16:51:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress.temp.irap-dev.org\/frontiers-in-public-health-slow-zones-safe-zones-vietnam\/"},"modified":"2026-04-30T15:11:38","modified_gmt":"2026-04-30T05:11:38","slug":"frontiers-in-public-health-slow-zones-safe-zones-vietnam","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/irap.org\/nl\/frontiers-in-public-health-slow-zones-safe-zones-vietnam\/","title":{"rendered":"Frontiers in Public Health: Langzame Zones, Veilige Zones Vietnam"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Frontiers in Public Health<\/em> heeft de resultaten gepubliceerd van het project \u2018Slow Zones, Safe Zones\u2019 van de AIP Foundation in Vietnam, waarbij het aantal ongevallen met 33% is gedaald en de sterrenbeoordelingen voor schoolzones drastisch zijn verbeterd tot 4 en 5 sterren, wat de veiligheid van 17 miljoen kinderen ten goede is gekomen.<\/p>\n<p>Het onderzoek getiteld <a href=\"https:\/\/www.frontiersin.org\/journals\/public-health\/articles\/10.3389\/fpubh.2026.1721586\/full?utm_source=F-NTF&amp;utm_medium=EMLX&amp;utm_campaign=PRD_FEOPS_20170000_ARTICLE\"><em>Een schaalbaar model voor verkeersveiligheid van kinderen in landen met een laag en midden inkomen: Bewijs en lessen uit de interventie \u2018Slow Zones, Safe Zones\u2019 in Vietnam <\/em><\/a>deelt de resultaten van de uitgebreide, meerjarige interventie in Pleiku City, ontworpen om verkeersongevallen en dodelijke slachtoffers te verminderen door schoolzones veiliger te maken.<\/p>\n<p>De veelzijdige strategie combineerde infrastructuurverbeteringen, onderwijs- en publiekscampagnes, verlagingen van de snelheidslimiet, handhaving en beleidsontwikkeling.<\/p>\n<p>Belangrijke veiligheidsverbeteringen omvatten:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>De iRAP-sterrenbeoordelingen voor schoolzones zijn na de interventie drastisch verbeterd: van slechts 1 ster tot 4- en 5-sterrenbeoordelingen;<\/li>\n<li>De gemiddelde snelheden van voertuigen daalden met maximaal 28,9%;<\/li>\n<li>Het aandeel van ongevallen met scholieren binnen schoolzones is sterk gedaald van 35,6% bij aanvang tot 2,9% aan het einde van het project;<\/li>\n<li>De kennis van ouders over de juiste snelheidslimieten nam aanzienlijk toe, van 15,6% tot 93,2% (p&lt;0,001); en<\/li>\n<li>Een wettelijke beslissing van de stadsautoriteiten om formeel een \u201cVeilige Schoolzone definitie\u201d aan te nemen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Het oorspronkelijke project maakte deel uit van de Botnar Child Road Safety Challenge, die werd ondersteund door de Fondation Botnar, het Global Road Safety Partnership en de F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Internationale de l\u2019Automobile. De daaropvolgende fasen werden ondersteund door FIA Foundation en het Child Health Initiative van deze organisatie.<\/p>\n<p>Het kende een gefaseerd ontwerp, beginnend met een quasi-experimentele pilotstudie (2018-2020) en uitbreidend naar een stadsbrede, pre-post evaluatie (2020-2022).<\/p>\n<p>De grote inzet van de lokale overheden van Pleiku, nationale belanghebbenden zoals het Nationaal Comit\u00e9 voor Verkeersveiligheid en het Ministerie van Onderwijs en Opleiding, in combinatie met de financiers Stichting Botnar en FIA Foundation, non-profitorganisaties en de particuliere sector, vormde een krachtige coalitie voor verandering.<\/p>\n<p>De effectiviteit van het project werd ge\u00ebvalueerd met behulp van evidence-based instrumenten, waaronder <a href=\"https:\/\/starratingforschools.org\/\">Sterrenwaardering voor scholen (SR4S)<\/a> beoordelingen, voertuigsnelheidsmetingen en studentenongevallen- en gemeenschapsenqu\u00eates.<\/p>\n<p>Het project was zeer effectief en toonde aan dat een uitgebreide, op bewijs gebaseerde aanpak de verkeersrisico's voor kinderen in een land met lage en middeninkomsten aanzienlijk kan verminderen.<\/p>\n<p>het succes ervan bij het vertalen van lokale gegevens naar officieel beleid \u2013 een technische gids voor lokale Vietnamese overheden, de <a href=\"https:\/\/aip-foundation.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Safe-School-Zones-Guide.pdf\">Veilige Schoolzones Vietnam Gids<\/a> \u2013 biedt een krachtig, schaalbaar raamwerk voor nationale hervormingen.<\/p>\n<p>Het model biedt aanzienlijk potentieel voor replicatie in andere landen met een laag en midden inkomen, en biedt een duidelijk pad om de verkeersveiligheid van kinderen te verbeteren en te helpen bij het behalen van de mondiale doelstellingen van Duurzame Ontwikkelingsdoelstelling (SDG) 3.6.<\/p>\n<p>Het programma ontving in 2020 een Prince Michael International Road Safety Award ter erkenning van het succes bij het beschermen van kinderen op hun schoolreizen.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"button\" href=\"https:\/\/www.frontiersin.org\/journals\/public-health\/articles\/10.3389\/fpubh.2026.1721586\/full?utm_source=F-NTF&amp;utm_medium=EMLX&amp;utm_campaign=PRD_FEOPS_20170000_ARTICLE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Download het tijdschriftartikel<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a class=\"button\" href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/aB3JoDlDYkg?si=0JmQD7A-co6n_YfU\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Zie de video Vietnam Veilig School Zones Gids<\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>Beeld credit: AIP Foundation<\/em><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Frontiers in Public Health has published the results of AIP Foundation&#8217;s &#8216;Slow Zones, Safe Zones&#8217; project in Vietnam which saw crashes plummet by 33% and school zone Star Ratings dramatically improved to 4- and 5-stars, impacting the safety of 17 million children.
