Bij iRAP zijn we trots op onze samenwerkingsverbanden in heel Europa om innovatieve oplossingen voor de veiligheid van de weginfrastructuur te leveren die iedereen ten goede komen.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ember191\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">De Europese Mobiliteitsweek biedt een waardevol platform om het bewustzijn over duurzaam vervoer te vergroten, en deze missie sluit aan bij de visie van iRAP voor een wereld zonder gevaarlijke wegen. Onze focus ligt op het zo veilig mogelijk maken van elke reis.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ember192\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\"><strong>De cruciale rol van de veiligheid van de weginfrastructuur<\/strong><\/p>\n<p id=\"ember193\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">Verkeersongevallen blijven wereldwijd een groot probleem, en Europa vormt daarop geen uitzondering. Hoewel technologische vooruitgang in voertuigen een belangrijke rol speelt, zijn het ontwerp en de staat van onze wegen van fundamenteel belang voor het voorkomen van dodelijke slachtoffers en ernstig letsel.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ember194\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">Veilige weginfrastructuur betekent:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Vergevingsgezinde bermen: Verminderen de kans op ernstige gevolgen wanneer een voertuig van de rijbaan raakt.<\/li>\n<li>Veilige kruispunten: Kruispunten ontwerpen om conflicten te minimaliseren en kwetsbare weggebruikers te beschermen.<\/li>\n<li>Speciaal ingerichte ruimte voor kwetsbare weggebruikers: het garanderen van veilige en comfortabele paden voor voetgangers en fietsers.<\/li>\n<li>Duidelijke signalering en markeringen: Het bieden van ondubbelzinnige aanwijzingen aan alle weggebruikers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p id=\"ember196\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">Bij iRAP geloven we dat elk verkeersslachtoffer te voorkomen is. Onze sterrenclassificatiemethode biedt een wereldwijd erkend, op bewijs gebaseerd systeem voor het beoordelen en verbeteren van de veiligheid van de weginfrastructuur. Een weg met 5 sterren is de veiligste, en het is ons doel om gemeenschappen te helpen deze standaard te bereiken.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ember197\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\"><strong>iRAP in actie: Stedelijke mobiliteitsprojecten en -instrumenten in Europa<\/strong><\/p>\n<p id=\"ember198\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">In heel Europa worden de instrumenten en methodologie\u00ebn van iRAP ingezet om specifieke stedelijke mobiliteitsuitdagingen aan te pakken, waardoor steden leefbaarder en veiliger worden voor hun inwoners.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ember199\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\"><strong>Verandering stimuleren met sterrenbeoordelingen en investeringsplannen:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p id=\"ember200\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">Ons Star Rating for Schools (SR4S)-programma stelt lokale overheden bijvoorbeeld in staat om risico&#039;s rond scholen te identificeren en te beperken, waardoor onze kinderen tijdens hun dagelijkse reis naar school beter beschermd zijn.
