We zijn verheugd te kunnen bevestigen dat \u201cNtwara Ndebe: The Kinigi Safe Bikebus School Program\u201d een van de finalisten is en gebruikmaakt van de <a href=\"https:\/\/irap.org\/nl\/cyclerap\/\">CycleRAP<\/a> Methodologie ter verbetering van veilig en rechtvaardig schoolvervoer op het platteland van Rwanda.<\/p>\n<p>Geleid door <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hprwanda.org\/\">Gezonde Mensen Rwanda<\/a>\u00a0met steun van <a href=\"http:\/\/berwasafepedals.com\/\">Berwa Cycling<\/a> en <a href=\"https:\/\/lanepatrol.com\/\">Rijbaanwacht<\/a>, Het project is een pioniersproject op het gebied van fietsbussen in het landelijke Rwanda.<\/p>\n<p>Leerlingen halen fietsen op bij buurtcentra die beheerd worden door Berwa en fietsen in groepjes naar school onder begeleiding van getrainde begeleiders. De routes worden beoordeeld met behulp van de CycleRAP-methode om gebieden te identificeren waar tactische stadsplanning moet worden toegepast om de veiligheid te verbeteren. De Lane Patrol Community-app co\u00f6rdineert de ritten en ondersteunt de communicatie, terwijl de Berwa-centra dienen als informatiecentra en veilige opslag voor de fietsen van de school.<\/p>\n<p>Het project geniet sterke steun van:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Scholen in Kinigi: Het aanbieden van dockingstations en het stimuleren van betrokkenheid van de gemeenschap.<\/li>\n<li>Autoriteiten van het district Musanze: zorgen voor afstemming van beleid en ondersteunen initiatieven voor duurzame mobiliteit.<\/li>\n<li>Kinigi-sector: Goedkeuring van fietsenstallinglocaties en mobilisatie van ouders via gemeenschapsevenementen zoals umuganda.<\/li>\n<li>Fundaci\u00f3n Alberto Contador: Doneert fietsen en verzorgt technische trainingen in fietsenonderhoud.<\/li>\n<li>iRAP: Verbetering van de veiligheid op schoolroutes door middel van de CycleRAP-methodologie.<\/li>\n<li>Africa Rising Cycling Centre (ARCC): Samenwerking met de Rwandese wielerbond en het inspireren van meisjes om te gaan fietsen.<\/li>\n<li>De Rwanda Bookmobile (Reading Riders): Het bevorderen van geletterdheid door middel van gemeenschapsbetrokkenheid via de fiets.<\/li>\n<li>De fietsenwinkel 250: Het faciliteren van toegang tot kwaliteitsfietsen en het opleiden van jonge fietsenmakers in Kigali.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Dit initiatief illustreert de kracht van samenwerking tussen verschillende sectoren om veilig en duurzaam schoolvervoer te cre\u00ebren, gemeenschappen te versterken en blijvende verandering teweeg te brengen.<\/p>\n<p>We zijn vereerd dat CycleRAP Rwandese en internationale partners ondersteunt bij dit bijzondere initiatief om veilige en rechtvaardige fietsinfrastructuur en -diensten voor hun gemeenschap te bevorderen.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/irap.org\/nl\/cyclerap\/\">CycleRAP<\/a> Het is een eenvoudige, betaalbare en snelle methode om de veiligheid van weg- en fietsinfrastructuur te beoordelen. Het doel is om het aantal ongevallen te verminderen en de veiligheid te verbeteren, met name voor fietsers en andere gebruikers van lichte mobiliteit, door risicovolle locaties te identificeren zonder dat daarvoor ongevalsgegevens nodig zijn.<\/p>\n<p>Andere genomineerden voor de prijs zijn onder meer:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Walkability Institute: Gemeenschappelijke fietsdeelsystemen in favela&#039;s in S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 Brazili\u00eb<\/li>\n<li>Raahgiri Foundation \u2013 Pedal Path: HIPA&#039;s reis naar gezondheid en gelijkheid \u2013 India<\/li>\n<li>Sociedad Peruana de Derecho Ambiental \u2013 Peruaanse Vereniging voor Milieurecht \u2013 Pedalea Seguro: Versterking van stadsfietsen voor gezondere en meer inclusieve steden in Peru<\/li>\n<li>Cycling out of Poverty (CooP-Africa) Foundation \u2013 Jinja Reimagined \u2013 Streets for People \u2013 Uganda<\/li>\n<li>Cycle City Network Nepal (CCNN) \u2013 Pedal Paathshala (School): Gemeenschapsleren op wielen \u2013 Nepal<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>De finalisten presenteren deze maand hun projecten aan een selectiecommissie, in de hoop een van de drie winnaars te worden van US$ 100.000 om hun oplossingen te implementeren.
