{"id":5757,"date":"2025-07-31T13:16:51","date_gmt":"2025-07-31T03:16:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress.temp.irap-dev.org\/sustainable-transportation-in-africa-under-the-spotlight-at-icta2025\/"},"modified":"2026-04-30T15:04:18","modified_gmt":"2026-04-30T05:04:18","slug":"sustainable-transportation-in-africa-under-the-spotlight-at-icta2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/irap.org\/nl\/sustainable-transportation-in-africa-under-the-spotlight-at-icta2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Duurzaam transport in Afrika in de schijnwerpers op ICTA2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"111\" data-end=\"685\">Verkeersveiligheid stond centraal tijdens de <a href=\"https:\/\/irfofficial.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/ICTA2025-LIBERIA-FINAL-UPDATED-PROGRAM-.pdf\">10e Internationale Conferentie over Duurzaam Vervoer in Afrika (ICTA 2025)<\/a> In Liberia gaf Nathalie Chiavassa, onze Safer Journeys Lead voor Afrika, een workshop over op bewijs gebaseerde interventies om veiligere wegen voor iedereen te verbeteren en te behouden. .<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"111\" data-end=\"685\">ICTA2025, dat van 21 tot en met 23 juli plaatsvond onder het thema &quot;Veerkrachtige transportinfrastructuur en verbeterde toegankelijkheid voor duurzame ontwikkeling&quot;, bracht 300 afgevaardigden bijeen, waaronder wegbeheerders, financieringsinstanties, transportadviseurs, beleidsmakers en academici, om onderzoek, beste praktijken en strategie\u00ebn te delen voor de ontwikkeling van duurzame, inclusieve en toekomstbestendige transportsystemen in de regio.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"111\" data-end=\"685\">Er werd een breed scala aan onderwerpen behandeld, waaronder verkeersveiligheid en risicobeheer, beheer en onderhoud van infrastructuur en wegdekken, gegevensmonitoring en -prestaties, levenscycluskostenanalyse, financieringsmechanismen voor publiek-private partnerschappen, innovatief ontwerp, transformatieve technologie\u00ebn en het beperken van de gevolgen van klimaatverandering.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"687\" data-end=\"1146\">De deelnemers werden begeleid tijdens een dynamische iRAP-sessie gericht op het gebruik van de methodologie en <a href=\"https:\/\/irap.org\/nl\/rap-tools\/\">hulpmiddelen<\/a> om op bewijs gebaseerde investeringen in de veiligheid van de weginfrastructuur te onderbouwen, en om succesvolle voorbeelden in Afrika te presenteren.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"687\" data-end=\"1146\">\u201cVeiligere wegen ontstaan niet zomaar,\u201d aldus Nathalie Chiavassa. \u201cZe zijn het resultaat van weloverwogen investeringen en actie, gebaseerd op bewijs en context. Door de iRAP-methodologie toe te passen en gemeenschapsgerichte ontwerpen te bevorderen, kunnen we de wereldwijde norm van 3 sterren of betere, veiligere wegen voor alle weggebruikers in Afrika bereiken.
