{"id":5574,"date":"2025-05-19T12:06:27","date_gmt":"2025-05-19T02:06:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress.temp.irap-dev.org\/piarc-congress-shines-light-on-rural-and-interurban-road-safety-in-senegal\/"},"modified":"2026-04-30T15:01:51","modified_gmt":"2026-04-30T05:01:51","slug":"piarc-congress-shines-light-on-rural-and-interurban-road-safety-in-senegal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/irap.org\/nl\/piarc-congress-shines-light-on-rural-and-interurban-road-safety-in-senegal\/","title":{"rendered":"PIARC Seminar belicht verkeersveiligheid op landelijke en interlokale wegen in Senegal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Vorige week in Dakar, Senegal, heeft het Ministerie van Infrastructuur en Land- en Luchtvervoer (MITTA), via de Algemene Directie Weginfrastructuur (DGIRD) en het Nationale Comit\u00e9 voor PIARC\/AGEPAR Senegal, in samenwerking met de World Road Association (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.piarc.org\/en\/\">PIARC<\/a>) en de Association of African Managers and Road Partners (AGEPAR) co\u00f6rdineerden een <a href=\"https:\/\/www.piarc.org\/en\/News-Agenda-PIARC\/News\/2025-02-19,Road-safety-and-sustainable-mobility-in-rural-and-interurban-areas-a-case-of-Senegal-PIARC-2025.htm\">internationaal seminar<\/a> over het thema &#039;verkeersveiligheid en duurzame mobiliteit in landelijke en interstedelijke gebieden&#039;.<\/p>\n<p>Het evenement, dat samenviel met de 8e VN-week voor wereldwijde verkeersveiligheid en plaatsvond van 14 tot 16 mei, had als doel de belangrijkste belemmeringen voor mobiliteit op het platteland en tussen steden in Senegal in kaart te brengen, projecten, programma&#039;s en instrumenten voor gegevensverzameling te delen die bijdragen aan de verbetering van de verkeersveiligheid, en op bewijs gebaseerde oplossingen te vinden om verkeersslachtoffers te verminderen.<\/p>\n<p>De <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gtkp.com\/themepage\/road-safety\/ten-step-plan-for-safer-road-infrastructure\/ten-step-project-senegal\/\">Tien Stappen Senegal Project<\/a> werd gepresenteerd, een gezamenlijk initiatief gefinancierd door het VN-fonds voor verkeersveiligheid (<a href=\"https:\/\/roadsafetyfund.un.org\/\">UNRSF<\/a>) waarbij de regering van Senegal betrokken is via MITTA en het Nationaal Agentschap voor Wegen. <a href=\"https:\/\/anaser.sn\/\">ANASER<\/a>, samen met een consortium onder leiding van iRAP en waaronder de Internationale Wegfederatie (<a href=\"https:\/\/irfofficial.org\/\">IRF<\/a>), PIARC en <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/LASERinternational\/\">LASER Internationaal<\/a>, met steun van de Private Infrastructure Development Group (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pidg.org\/\">PIDG<\/a>) en <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fiafoundation.org\/\">FIA Stichting<\/a>Senegal is pas het tweede land in Afrika dat gebruikmaakt van de <a href=\"https:\/\/resources.irap.org\/Latest_News\/UNRSF_10_STEPS_INFRASTRUCTURE.pdf\">Tien Stappen Plan Aanpak van de Samenwerking van de Verenigde Naties inzake Verkeersveiligheid (UNRSC)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Tijdens de presentaties werd ook het volgende gedeeld: <a href=\"https:\/\/irap.org\/nl\/project\/ai-rap\/\">AiRAP<\/a> Een methodologie die bijdraagt aan een betere toegang tot en toepassing van bestaande en nieuwe databronnen ter ondersteuning van de beoordeling van de verkeersveiligheid, het in kaart brengen van het ongevalsrisico en de prioritering van investeringen voor alle weggebruikers.<\/p>\n<p>Awa Sarr, voorzitter van LASER International, deelde het succes van <a href=\"https:\/\/starratingforschools.org\/\">Sterbeoordeling voor scholen<\/a> (SR4S) helpt schoolreizen veiliger te maken door middel van verkeersveiligheidsbeoordelingen die in 18 Afrikaanse landen zijn uitgevoerd.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/irap.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Nathalie-iRAP-PIARC-Dakar-May-2025-credit-iRAP.jpg\" alt=\"Nathalie-iRAP PIARC Dakar May 2025 credit iRAP\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Natalie Chiavassa, co\u00f6rdinator van het Safer Journeys-programma van iRAP voor Afrika.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/irap.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/iRAP-PIARC-Dakar-May-2025-credit-iRAP.jpg\" alt=\"iRAP PIARC Dakar May 2025 credit iRAP\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Awa Sarr, voorzitter van LASER International<\/em><\/p>\n<p>ANASER presenteerde ook de vormgeving van de agenda voor verkeersveiligheid 2030 voor Senegal, waarbij de nationale prioriteiten werden belicht die aansluiten bij de nationale doelstelling om het aantal verkeersdoden en ernstige verkeersverwondingen te verminderen.<\/p>\n<p>Op de laatste dag van het seminar bezochten de deelnemers \u00c9cole \u00c9l\u00e9mentaire Point E1, die door LASER International was beoordeeld met behulp van de SR4S-methodologie. Het bezoek benadrukte de betrokkenheid van jongeren en de gemeenschap bij de ondersteuning van het Tweede Decennium van Actie voor Verkeersveiligheid.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/irap.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/School-Point-E-May25-3-Dakar-PIARC-Seminar-Senegal-May-2025-credit-iRAP.jpg\" alt=\"School-Point-E-May25-3 Dakar PIARC Seminar Senegal May 2025 credit iRAP\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/irap.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/School-Point-E-May25-3-Dakar-PIARC-Seminar-Senegal-May-2025-B-credit-iRAP.jpg\" alt=\"School-Point-E-May25-3 Dakar PIARC Seminar Senegal May 2025 B credit iRAP\" \/><\/p>\n<p>De schoolingang kreeg een 1-sterrenbeoordeling (minst veilig op de 1 tot 5-sterren veiligheidsschaal) vanwege de slechte staat van het wegdek en de geringe grip, geblokkeerde trottoirs, het ontbreken van voetgangersovergangen en het ontbreken van snelheidsbeperkende maatregelen.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/irap.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/photo-de-lintersection-gros-plan-2-vers-lecole-point-E1-mobility-snapshots-IRAP-2025-Ndeye-Awa-sarr.jpg\" alt=\"photo de l'intersection gros plan 2 vers l'\u00e9cole point E1 mobility snapshots IRAP 2025 -
