Ondanks het belang ervan zijn traditionele mobiliteitsmodellen grotendeels gericht op gemotoriseerd vervoer, waardoor er een leemte is ontstaan in het inzicht in waar en hoe mensen zich per fiets verplaatsen. Om in deze behoefte te voorzien heeft \u2018DOK data &amp; road safety\u2019 een innovatieve aanpak ontwikkeld voor het in kaart brengen van fietsverkeer, ter ondersteuning van VN-verkeersveiligheidsdoelstelling 4. Deze doelstelling houdt in dat wegen waarop 75% aan verkeer per weggebruiker plaatsvindt, tegen 2030 voldoen aan de wereldwijde veiligheidsnorm van 3 sterren of hoger. Deze innovatie laat zien waar gerichte risicobeoordelingen en infrastructuurverbeteringen op kosteneffectieve wijze kunnen worden toegepast met het grootste effect op de veiligheid.<\/p>\n<p><strong>De realiteit van het stadsfietsen volgens de 75%-norm<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Door in kaart te brengen waar 75% van het fietsverkeer in steden plaatsvindt, kunnen gemeenten de risico\u2019s beter beheersen op locaties waar fietsers hier het meest aan worden blootgesteld. Terwijl conventionele verkeersmodellen vaak geen rekening houden met niet-gemotoriseerde weggebruikers, stelt deze nieuwe aanpak fietsers centraal in de mobiliteitsanalyse, waardoor hun verplaatsingspatronen nauwkeurig in kaart worden gebracht en worden ge\u00efntegreerd in de stadsplanning.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Het Don Quichot Model: Inzichten in Fietsen Ontsluiten<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Het Don Quixote-model, ontwikkeld door DOK data, brengt revolutionaire veranderingen teweeg in mobiliteitsanalyses door datagedreven inzichten te bieden in de bewegingen van voetgangers en fietsers. Door gebruik te maken van open data-bronnen zoals OpenStreetMap, voorspelt het model fietspadenstromen effici\u00ebnt en kosteneffectief. In plaats van uitsluitend te vertrouwen op kostbare periodieke verkeerstellingen, bepaalt Don Quixote optimale locaties voor het verzamelen van gegevens en extrapoleert de resultaten om een compleet beeld te geven van de stedelijke fietsactiviteit.<\/p>\n<p>Belangrijkste voordelen van het model zijn:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Snelle, Open-Data Analyse<\/strong>Inzichten worden gegenereerd met behulp van publiekelijk beschikbare datasets.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Scenario simulatie<\/strong>Steden kunnen de impact van nieuwe fietsinfrastructuur\u2014zoals speciale fietspaden of fietsbruggen\u2014modelleren voordat ze kostbare investeringen plegen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Veiligheid en Infrastructuurplanning<\/strong>Door gebieden met een hoog risico en knelpunten te identificeren, kunnen planners prioriteit geven aan infrastructuurverbeteringen die de veiligheid van fietsers vergroten.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Samenwerking met iRAP voor veiligere fietssteden<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Voortbouwend op de voorspellende mogelijkheden van Don Quixote brengt iRAP zijn wereldwijd erkende expertise op het gebied van veiligheidsbeoordeling van mobiliteitsinfrastructuur in, om ervoor te zorgen dat deze nieuwe kaartbenadering niet alleen in kaart brengt waar mensen fietsen, maar ook de risicofactoren evalueert waarmee zij te maken krijgen, zodat de veiligheid optimaal kan worden verbeterd. Dit partnerschap heeft tot doel risicobeoordelingsmethodieken, zoals Star Ratings en CycleRAP, te integreren met hoogwaardige fietsgegevens, zodat steden weloverwogen beslissingen kunnen nemen om de veiligheid en toegankelijkheid voor fietsers te verbeteren.<\/p>\n<p>Samen werken Dokdata en iRAP aan een datagestuurde visie voor veiligere, fietsvriendelijkere steden.
