Kwetsbare weggebruikers, waaronder motorrijders, voetgangers en fietsers, vertegenwoordigen 83% van de dodelijke slachtoffers. Hoewel Thailand het Decade of Action for Road Safety heeft ondertekend en een nationaal plan heeft opgesteld, heeft het land een minimale daling van het aantal verkeersdoden gezien, van 38,1 per 100.000 inwoners in het Second Global Status Report on Road Safety (2013) naar 36,2 in het Derde rapport (2015).<\/p>\n<p>De Wereldgezondheidsorganisatie zal een bijdrage leveren en waarde toevoegen aan de Strategie door:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Samenwerken met het National Road Safety Directing Centre om zijn capaciteit als nationaal co\u00f6rdinerend orgaan voor verkeersveiligheid te versterken, naast het katalyseren van synergie tussen belangrijke niet-gouvernementele verkeersveiligheidsactoren om aanvullende inspanningen te vergemakkelijken<\/li>\n<li>Ondersteuning van het Bureau of Noncommunicable Diseases om het nationale ge\u00efntegreerde datasysteem dat in de fase van de CCS is ontwikkeld te verbeteren, door de handleidingen voor data-integratie te verbeteren en relevant personeel op te leiden dat verantwoordelijk is voor de rapportage van verkeersgegevens, om de implementatie ervan op zowel nationaal als provinciaal niveau te garanderen<\/li>\n<li>Voortbouwend op de vooruitgang die is geboekt door de steun van het Bloomberg Initiative for Global Road Safety, zal de WHO de verbetering van de verkeersveiligheidswetgeving blijven ondersteunen via de Working Group to Review Road Safety Legislation en het Legal Development Programme, dat zal worden aangevuld door de Journalism Fellowship Programmaonderdeel.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Bekijk de video en gerelateerde links op <a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/thailand\/activities\/ccs-roadsafety\">https:\/\/www.who.int\/thailand\/activities\/ccs-roadsafety<\/a>.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>iRAP&#8217;s Global Programme Director Greg Smith and ThaiRAP Lead Kasem Choocharukul were interviewed live as part of the WHO Royal Thai Government Country Cooperation Strategy on Road Safety.
