Agilysis onderzoek gepubliceerd in de Journal van Verkeersveiligheid<\/a> heeft een Safe System Cultural Maturity Model (SSCMM) ontwikkeld en getest om te beoordelen in hoeverre organisaties klaar zijn voor het Safe System, en heeft daarbij de iRAP-methodologie en hulpmiddelen voor veilige infrastructuur meegenomen.<\/p>\n

Het Safe System is een benadering van verkeersveiligheidsmanagementsystemen die wordt beschouwd als internationale 'best practice'.<\/p>\n

Verkeersveiligheidsorganisaties op alle niveaus ontwikkelen beleid en strategie\u00ebn waarin het Safe System-denken is opgenomen.<\/p>\n

Hoewel er richtlijnen beschikbaar zijn voor de implementatie van Safe System, verschillen de lokale adoptie en toepassing van Safe System-denken, gebaseerd op de organisatiestructuur, geschiedenis en de traditionele invloedssfeer op verkeersveiligheid.<\/p>\n

Dit onderzoek had tot doel het potentieel van een model te bepalen voor het beoordelen van de culturele volwassenheid van organisaties ten aanzien van Safe System-denken en -toepassing, wat belangrijk is voor het cre\u00ebren van consistentie in implementatie en monitoring, en het identificeren van gebieden waar verdere ondersteuning nodig is.<\/p>\n

Een diagnostisch hulpmiddel, in de vorm van een vragenlijst en analytische uitkomsten, werd gecre\u00eberd om het model toe te passen.<\/p>\n

Het onderzoek toonde aan dat de implementatie van het Veilige Systeem afhankelijk is van de acties van meerdere belanghebbenden, en dat de organisatiecultuur de acties van belanghebbenden be\u00efnvloedt.<\/p>\n

SSCMM is een geldige manier om de culturele volwassenheid van organisaties te onderzoeken in hun vooruitgang naar de adoptie van een Veilig Systeem, en kan fungeren als een diagnostisch hulpmiddel om te identificeren waar de Veilig Systeem-gedachte en -acties moeten worden versterkt.<\/p>\n

Het ondersteunen van instellingen bij het versterken van een Safe System-cultuur zal systemisch denken op organisatieniveau verankeren, waardoor de effectiviteit van de uitvoering toeneemt.<\/p>\n
