The FIA School Assessment Toolkit is an online repository with the relevant actions and documents to structuring a school assessment project with Star Rating for Schools (SR4S). It provides the knowledge, guidelines and templates needed to plan, resource, apply and advocate for the upgrades that will save children\u2019s lives with a 3-star or better journey to school.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>What is the FIA Road Safety Grants Programme?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The FIA Road Safety Grants Programme is a fund established in 2012 with an endowment from the FIA Foundation in support of FIA Members\u2019 road safety projects. The Grants aims at strengthening the cooperation between the FIA and Members, on the five pillars of activities of the UN Decade of Action:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Road Safety Management,<\/li>\n<li>Safer Roads &amp; Mobility,<\/li>\n<li>Safer Vehicles,<\/li>\n<li>Safer Road Users and<\/li>\n<li>Post-Crash Care.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>What funds are available?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The yearly endowment from the FIA Foundation enables Clubs to address the road safety challenge at local level and support the UN Decade of Action for Road Safety. The FIA Road Safety Grants Programme covers three different types of projects: Global Action, Transformation and Capacity Building.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2012, the Grants Programme has awarded over \u20ac7.2 million in support of FIA Clubs\u2019 Road Safety Projects all over the world. Over 350 innovative road safety initiatives have been started in more than 95 countries.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>What this can mean for you and your school upgrades?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/school-assessment-toolkit.fia-grants.com\/\">FIA School Assessment Programme<\/a>\u00a0will be one of the thematic priority areas in the FIA Road Safety Grant Programme, aiming to support FIA members on upgrading school zones. The maximum funding available per project is \u20ac25,000, which can cover the full project or co-fund in addition to other sources the upgrade of at least one school zone.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Submissions must demonstrate to follow\u00a0<u>all 10<\/u>\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/school-assessment-toolkit.fia-grants.com\/\">FIA School Assessment Programme<\/a><strong>\u00a0steps in their project.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><strong>How to apply?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>FIA clubs can apply by registering on the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/grants.fia.com\/Registration.aspx?t=1\"><strong>FIA Road Safety Grants portal<\/strong><\/a><strong>.\u00a0<\/strong>Registration is open, and applications can be submitted between\u00a0<strong>March 8 and April 28, 2021<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Not a FIA club member?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>We encourage any local NGO\/organisation to partner with the FIA local club for to support club applications.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fia.com\/members\">Check the FIA members in each country<\/a>, and feel free to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:fiatoolkit@fia.com\">contact FIA<\/a>\u00a0to ask for a connection with the right person in each club.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_button button_url=&#8221;http:\/\/www.roadsafety.fia-grants.com\/projects.php?id=2&#8243; button_text=&#8221;Find out more information here &#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.6.6&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221;][\/et_pb_button][et_pb_button button_url=&#8221;http:\/\/www.roadsafety.fia-grants.com\/eligible-projects.php&#8221; button_text=&#8221;Read more on the criteria here&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.6.6&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221;][\/et_pb_button][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.6.6&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p>For any question, please contact<a href=\"mailto:fiatoolkit@fia.com\"> fiatoolkit@fia.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In 2020, FIA region II has secured a FIA grant for \u20ac50,000 to assist clubs carry out the infrastructure projects identified by SR4S assessment. AIP Foundation\/AA Vietnam and AA Ceylon (AAC) have been successful in securing a FIA grant to carry out infrastructure work to improve safety around schools guided by SR4S.
