(Alle rechten voorbehouden) .<\/p>\n<p>De presentatie van voorstellen voor verkeersveiligheid en de overhandiging van risicokaarten van het Trans-Europese wegennet van het land vond plaats bij het Ministerie van Infrastructuur en Transport door het Instituut voor Verkeersveiligheid (IOAS) \u201cPanos Mylonas\u201d. De ingediende kaarten betreffen het SLAIN-project (Saving Lives Assessing and Improving TEN-T Road Network Safety), dat is opgesteld door het Instituut voor Verkeersveiligheid \u201cPanos Mylonas\u201d in samenwerking met de internationale organisatie EuroRAP en partners uit Itali\u00eb, Spanje en Kroati\u00eb. Het project wordt medegefinancierd door de Europese Gemeenschap via het CEF-programma (Connecting Europe Facility 2014-2020), met instemming van het Ministerie van Infrastructuur en Transport.<\/p>\n<p>Het doel van het project is verkeersveiligheid en als resultaat daarvan (onder andere) het opstellen van een risicoclassificatiekaart van het trans-Europese wegennet van Griekenland. Deze actie is in overeenstemming met Richtlijn 2008\/96 van het Europees Parlement (die is opgenomen in de Griekse wetgeving met PD 104\/2011 (Staatsblad 237\/A\/7-11-2011)), maar ook met de herziening van 2019\/1936\/EG waarin een beoordeling van de verkeersveiligheid is opgenomen.<\/p>\n<p>De risicokaarten en de berekening van de relevante indicatoren zijn opgesteld volgens de internationale EuroRAP-methodologie en hebben betrekking op het trans-Europese wegennet van de periode 2015-2018 (met de bijbehorende beschikbare gegevens). Deze methodologie is volledig compatibel met en geaccepteerd door de nieuwe Europese richtlijn en andere internationale organisaties (WHO, Wereldbank). Dit maakt een directe vergelijking tussen verschillende landen mogelijk, aangezien dezelfde methodologie internationaal in meer dan 100 landen wordt toegepast. De twee kaarten die in het kader van het SLAIN-project zijn gemaakt, betreffen de dichtheid van incidenten en de risico-index, die respectievelijk het collectieve en individuele risiconiveau van weggebruikers weergeven (geel-groen, van het hoogste tot het laagste gevaarniveau). De vergelijking van de gegevens over verkeersongevallen in de beschouwde periode van vier jaar bevestigt het positieve resultaat van de verbetering van de verkeersveiligheid. Nogmaals wordt de cruciale rol van het snelwegennet in Griekenland bij het verminderen van risico-indicatoren benadrukt: het percentage wegen met een laag risico is verbeterd van 121 TP8T naar 871 TP8T van het totale trans-Europese netwerk.<\/p>\n<p>De voorzitter van het instituut, mevrouw Vasiliki Danelli-Mylonas, en leidinggevenden van\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/i.o.as\/\">IOAS<\/a>. \u201cPanos Mylonas\u201d heeft de risicokaarten overhandigd aan het Ministerie van Infrastructuur en Transport, waarmee Griekenland aan de Europese instellingen documenteert dat het aan zijn verplichtingen voldoet.<\/p>\n<p>Zoals de onderminister van Infrastructuur en Transport, de heer Giannis Kefalogiannis, verklaarde: &quot;Verkeersveiligheid is een topprioriteit voor de huidige regering. Onder leiding van de heer Costas Karamanlis streven we er bij het ministerie van Infrastructuur en Transport naar om internationale best practices toe te passen, zodat we over de juiste instrumenten beschikken voor beleidsvorming, in samenwerking met de instanties die hieraan bijdragen.&quot;\u201c<\/p>\n<p>De secretaris-generaal van Infrastructuur, de heer George Karagiannis, nam de kaarten in ontvangst en bedankte de voorzitter van het Instituut voor Verkeersveiligheid (RSI), Panos Mylonas, voor de overhandiging ervan. Hij sprak zijn tevredenheid uit over &quot;het werk dat is verricht door de betrokken afdelingen en de medewerkers van het ministerie, met name voor een onderwerp dat van groot belang is voor de strategische planning van de infrastructuur in het land en voor de prioritering van interventies op het gebied van verkeersveiligheid.&quot;\u201c<\/p>\n<p>Volgens mevrouw Danelli-Mylonas: &quot;Wij hechten veel waarde aan de belangstelling van de minister van Infrastructuur en Transport, de heer Costas Karamanlis, voor de kwesties van verkeersveiligheid, evenals aan die van de onderminister, de heer Ioannis Kefalogiannis, de secretaris-generaal van Infrastructuur, de heer Georgios Karagiannis, en de ambtenaren van het ministerie die aan de besprekingen hebben deelgenomen. Onze constructieve samenwerking met de EuroRAP-organisatie, waarvan de\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/i.o.as\/\">IOAS<\/a>.
