Het rapport werd gelanceerd op de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uci.org\/forum-page\/21KPmTtT7xSc9cSu8hi8bB\">UCI Mobiliteit en Fietsstad Forum<\/a>\u00a0op 25 oktober 2023 in Brugge, Belgi\u00eb.<\/p>\n<p>Tijdens de pilot voerde het projectteam CycleRAP-beoordelingen uit over een totale afstand van 246 km in Madrid, Barcelona, Bogota en Fayetteville, Arkansas, en op nog eens 1.115 \u2018spot\u2019-locaties in Sao Paulo. Het projectteam werkte samen met lokale partners in elk van de steden om het doelnetwerk te identificeren, gegevens te verzamelen, risicokaarten te produceren en veiligheidsoplossingen voor te stellen. Het project bracht een uniek en divers team van lokale en technische partners samen, zoals\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.experiencefayetteville.com\/\">Ervaar Fayetteville<\/a> (VS),\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ciclocidade.org.br\/\">Fietsstad<\/a> (BR),<a href=\"http:\/\/www.factual-consulting.com\/\">\u00a0Feitelijk Consult<\/a> (ES), de Secretaria de Movilidad de Bogot\u00e1 (CO), de\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fpz.unizg.hr\/oms\/?lang=en\">Faculteit Verkeerswetenschappen van de Universiteit van Zagreb (FPZ)<\/a> (CR).<\/p>\n<p>Het reflecteren op de bestaande standaarden voor fietsinfrastructuur is essentieel om ervoor te zorgen dat nieuwe investeringen prioriteit geven aan de verkeersveiligheid van fietsers. De resultaten van CycleRAP tonen aan dat de hoogste risico's zich bevinden bij faciliteiten op de weg, waar conflicten tussen voertuigen en fietsen de belangrijkste bijdrage leveren aan hoge scores. Het installeren van lichte scheidingen, het vergroten van de afstand tussen fietsers en passerende voertuigen, en maatregelen om ervoor te zorgen dat voertuigen met veilige snelheden rijden, zijn enkele van de aanbevelingen van CycleRAP voor de steden. De vijf steden nemen het voortouw met initiatieven om van fietsen een aangename en veilige ervaring te maken, met plannen om hun fietsnetwerken uit te breiden.<\/p>\n<p>Het doel van het project was om de toepassing van de verkeerssimulatietool aan te tonen en tastbare voorbeelden te geven van hoe steden het CycleRAP-model kunnen gebruiken om de veiligheid van hun fietsnetwerken te verbeteren. Het rapport bevat gedetailleerde casestudies die voorbeelden laten zien van veilige fietsinfrastructuur, methoden voor gegevensverzameling, risicokartering, evaluatie van veiligheidsopties en specifieke risicoanalyse.<\/p>\n<p>CycleRAP is een op bewijs gebaseerd model voor het evalueren van infrastructuurrisico's. Het heeft tot doel het aantal ongevallen te verminderen en de veiligheid specifiek voor fietsers en andere gebruikers van lichte mobiliteit te verbeteren door risicovolle locaties te identificeren zonder dat er ongevalsgegevens beschikbaar hoeven te zijn. Het model maakt gebruik van gegevens over de kenmerken van een weg, straat of pad om het risico op ongevallen voor fietsers en gebruikers van lichte mobiliteit te evalueren \u2013 ongeacht het type voorziening en door aan te geven en in kaart te brengen waar ongevallen waarschijnlijk zullen plaatsvinden, en opties te bieden om dit risico te verminderen.<\/p>\n<p>CycleRAP werd wereldwijd gelanceerd in 2022 op de <a href=\"https:\/\/irap.org\/nl\/2022\/06\/official-global-launch-of-cyclerap\/\">Velo-City Conferentie in Ljubljana, Sloveni\u00eb<\/a> en in <a href=\"https:\/\/irap.org\/nl\/2022\/10\/cyclerap-launches-in-latin-america-at-itf-safer-city-streets-network\/\">Latijns-Amerika op het ITF Safer City Streets Network evenement in Guadalajara, Mexico<\/a>. Het is nu toegepast op ongeveer 1.000 km fietspaden in 10 landen.<\/p>\n<p>Fietsersveiligheid is een belangrijke zorg voor steden over de hele wereld die groenere, veiligere en eerlijkere mobiliteit nastreven.
