Rob McInerney, CEO van iRAP, was verheugd zich bij de groep aan te sluiten. ITE Talks Transportation Podcast<\/a> Vorige week bespraken we het verbeteren van de wereldwijde verkeersveiligheid met behulp van de Safe System Approach.<\/p>\n

De timing was gunstig, aangezien wereldleiders zich voorbereiden op de bijeenkomst van deze week. VN-bijeenkomst op hoog niveau over verkeersveiligheid<\/a> Het evenement vindt plaats van 30 juni tot en met 1 juli in New York en richt zich op een veilig systeem om een decennium van actie en resultaten te garanderen.<\/p>\n

In de podcast deelt Rob zijn visie op wereldwijde verkeersveiligheid aan de hand van de Safe System Approach en Vision Zero, en hoe deze aansluiten op het VN-decennium van actie voor verkeersveiligheid 2021-2030. Hij belicht ook de verkeersveiligheid op het platteland, waar een groot deel van de wereldwijde dodelijke slachtoffers valt bij ongevallen waarbij automobilisten van de weg raken. Daarnaast bespreekt hij hoe positieve verandering teweeggebracht kan worden door wegen te ontwerpen met het oog op resultaten in plaats van normen, om zo het aantal doden en ernstig gewonden tot nul terug te brengen.<\/p>\n
