{"id":3126,"date":"2022-03-15T00:33:37","date_gmt":"2022-03-14T13:33:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress.temp.irap-dev.org\/safer-journeys-success-shared-at-amcham-guatemala-congress\/"},"modified":"2026-04-30T12:39:52","modified_gmt":"2026-04-30T02:39:52","slug":"safer-journeys-success-shared-at-amcham-guatemala-congress","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/irap.org\/nl\/safer-journeys-success-shared-at-amcham-guatemala-congress\/","title":{"rendered":"Veiligere reizen succes gedeeld op AmCham Guatemala Congres"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Het was ons een genoegen deel te nemen aan AmCham Guatemala's <a href=\"https:\/\/congresovialinternacionalbyamcham.com\/\">Tweede Internationale Congres voor Verkeersveiligheid<\/a> Vorige week werd internationale normen belicht om levens te beschermen en verkeersongevallen in het land te verminderen.<\/p>\n<p>De Amerikaanse Kamer van Koophandel van Guatemala (<a href=\"https:\/\/amchamguate.com\/\">AmCham Guatemala<\/a>) organiseerde het evenement op 10 en 11 maart, met 48 uur virtuele toegang tot nationale en internationale conferenties en fora met sprekers van hoog niveau.<\/p>\n<p>iRAP's Safer Journeys Regionaal Leider voor Amerika, Edgar Zamora, en het Sterren-classificatiesysteem voor Scholen (<a href=\"https:\/\/starratingforschools.org\/\">SR4S<\/a>) Co\u00f6rdinator Rafaela Machado presenteerde over de <a href=\"https:\/\/irap.org.\/methodology\/\">iRAP-methodologie<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/irap.org\/nl\/rap-tools\/?_ga=2.264323151.1183445411.1647303708-611719745.1647303708\">gereedschap<\/a> en <a href=\"https:\/\/irap.org\/nl\/training\/?_ga=2.264323151.1183445411.1647303708-611719745.1647303708\">training<\/a> worden gebruikt in Guatemala en wereldwijd om gevaarlijke wegen en schoolroutes te elimineren. Ze werden vergezeld door <a href=\"https:\/\/starratingforschools.org\/2020\/06\/irap-and-3m-announce-partnership-to-improve-safety-for-school-children-around-the-world\/\">SR4S Wereldwijd programmapartner 3M<\/a> vertegenwoordigd door Salvador Morales, Applications Engineer van de Transportation Safety Division van 3M Midden-Amerika en het Caribisch gebied.<\/p>\n<p>iRAP en lokale partners hebben de veiligheid van meer dan 1.000 km aan wegen en 46 scholen al beoordeeld. Twintig mensen hebben een iRAP-training gevolgd over hoe ze hun wegen veiliger kunnen maken. Guatemala maakte deel uit van een grootschalige verkeersveiligheidsbeoordeling van de Pacific Corridor in zeven landen, uitgevoerd door de Inter-Amerikaanse Ontwikkelingsbank in 2011. Op basis van de resultaten en het Safer Roads Investment Plan investeerde de IDB tot 2020 ongeveer 1,76 miljard dollar om risicovolle wegvakken te elimineren en levens te redden. A <a href=\"https:\/\/irap.org\/nl\/2020\/12\/pacific-corridor-to-be-reassessed-10-years-after-first-analysis\/\">recente herbeoordeling<\/a> van Guatemala tot Panama, nieuwe sterbeoordelingen verkregen om verdere investeringen te informeren, met de potentie om 65.000 levens te redden.<\/p>\n<p>President Juan Pablo Carrasco de Groote van AmCham Guatemala zei: \u201cVia het Congres Verkeersveiligheid beoogt de Kamer het begrip te verdiepen van de problemen rond mobiliteitscultuur, ongevalsreductie, kostenreductie voor transporteurs en verbetering van de infrastructuur van het land, evenals de menselijke kant van verkeersveiligheid aan te pakken via verschillende panels en expertsessies.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>AmCham Guatemala is een non-profit serviceorganisatie die zich inzet voor het bevorderen van de handel tussen de Verenigde Staten en Guatemala, en het bieden van effectieve ondersteuning aan leden door middel van netwerkmogelijkheden en zakelijke facilitatie, overheidsrelaties, deelname aan sectorcommissies, evenementen, commerci\u00eble informatiebronnen en meer.<\/p>\n<p>De overkoepelende organisatie van de Amerikaanse Kamers van Koophandel in Latijns-Amerika en het Caribisch gebied (AACCLA) vertegenwoordigt via haar 23 AmChams meer dan 20.000 aangesloten bedrijven en meer dan 80% aan Amerikaanse investeringen in de regio.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We were pleased to be part of AmCham Guatemala&#8217;s Second International Congress on Road Safety last week shining a light on international standards to protect life and reduce road crashes in the country.
