IndiaRAP lanceerde gisteren met trots een innovatief nieuw leercentrum om ingenieurs, onderzoekers en studenten te ondersteunen bij academische verkeersveiligheidsstudies met behulp van de iRAP Methodologie<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Bijna 60 mensen woonden de lancering bij, wat duidt op een aanzienlijke interesse in het opkomende programma.<\/p>\n

IndiaRAP Programmaleider Dr. Subhamay Gangopadhyay zei: \u201cIndiaRAP werkt er hard aan om een cultuur van instilling te ontwikkelen iRAP Sterrenbeoordelingen<\/a> in professionele groepen, waaronder studenten en academische instellingen.<\/p>\n

\u201cHet Leercentrum zal studenten ondersteunen bij hun onderzoek en projecten om wegen veiliger te maken en om het proces en de voordelen van iRAP Sterrenbeoordelingen voor weggebruikers en de economie te begrijpen,\u201d zei hij.<\/p>\n

Het Centrum zal kosteloze middelen bieden om studenten te ondersteunen bij het leren, nadenken en toepassen van verkeersveiligheid in de praktijk met behulp van iRAP's gratis levensreddende ViDA<\/a> software om wegen te sterren.<\/p>\n

IndiaRAP Technisch Manager Jigesh Bhavsar zei: \u201cDiscussies met twee universiteiten in 2021, en aanzienlijke belangstelling van studenten, hadden geleid tot het idee van het Learning Centre om een systematisch proces en begeleiding te bieden om aan hun behoeften te voldoen.<\/p>\n

\u201cOnderzoek gerelateerd aan verkeersveiligheid en infrastructuur kan het Star Rating-model verder verbeteren en via het Centrum streven we ernaar de lokale capaciteit te versterken en collaboratief onderzoek te bevorderen om levens te redden,\u201d zei de heer Bhavsar.<\/p>\n

Tijdens de lancering sprak Dr. Sewa Ram, professor aan de School of Planning and Architecture in New Delhi, zijn waardering uit aan het IndiaRAP-team voor de ondersteuning van onderzoek en professionele praktijk via het Centrum en voor het krachtig pleiten voor sterbeoordelingen om hoog-risicowegen in India te elimineren.<\/p>\n

\u201cUw werk zal zeer, zeer nuttig zijn voor India's Black Spot Programme.\u201d<\/p>\n

IndiaRAP heeft, met de steun van 16 door iRAP geaccrediteerde leveranciers, meer dan 30.000 km aan bestaande wegen en ontwerpen en 82 scholen beoordeeld, en heeft daarmee bijgedragen aan de veiligheid van meer dan 4,4 miljard dollar aan investeringen in wegeninfrastructuur. IndiaRAP is wereldwijd toonaangevend op het gebied van iRAP-trainingen.<\/p>\n
