De missie van PIDG is om voorop te lopen in infrastructuurontwikkeling in lage-inkomenslanden en fragiele staten om armoede te bestrijden. PIDG biedt leiderschap, ontwikkelingscapaciteit, financiering en financi\u00eble oplossingen gedurende de gehele projectcyclus om de aanleg van infrastructuur te ondersteunen die een grote ontwikkelingsimpact heeft en de lokale capaciteit versterkt.<\/p>\n<p>In lijn met de Wereldveiligheids- en Gezondheidsdag op het Werk, benadrukte de Safety Day-campagne van PIDG de gezamenlijke inzet van samenwerkende partijen om veilige werkomgevingen te cre\u00ebren en te demonstreren voor alle belanghebbenden, waaronder werknemers, partners en aannemers in de gemeenschappen waarin zij actief zijn. Aangezien verkeersongevallen wereldwijd de belangrijkste doodsoorzaak zijn onder jongeren, is een veilig wegontwerp een van de prioritaire thema&#039;s van deze dag.<\/p>\n<p>iRAP ondersteunde de campagne met videoboodschappen waarin het cruciale belang van een veilig wegontwerp en strategische investeringen in infrastructuur met minimaal drie sterren voor alle weggebruikers werd benadrukt, om levens te redden en sterkere en veiligere economie\u00ebn te ondersteunen.<\/p>\n<p>Rob McInerney, CEO van iRAP, legde uit hoe de verbetering van de specificaties voor infrastructuurprojecten en de kaders voor impactmonitoring de verkeersongevallen systematisch zullen verminderen en de inzet van PIDG om de Duurzame Ontwikkelingsdoelen van de VN te bereiken zullen ondersteunen.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201c&quot;Nieuwe wegen moeten minimaal aan een 3-sterrennorm voldoen voor alle weggebruikers, en de geschatte sterrenclassificatie v\u00f3\u00f3r en na de aanleg, schattingen van het aantal dodelijke slachtoffers en gewonden, en de economische voordelen moeten worden gerapporteerd voordat de bouw begint.&quot;.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLagere snelheden, een voetpad en een veilige oversteekplaats in een dorp. Scheiding van snel rijdend verkeer en veilige bermen op een snelle landweg. Veilige kruispuntontwerpen met goedkope tafelvormige ontwerpen of rotondes. Allemaal eenvoudige en bewezen ingrepen die levens zullen redden en armoede helpen bestrijden. Allemaal maatregelen die een resultaat van 3 sterren of beter zullen opleveren voor voetgangers, fietsers, motorrijders en inzittenden van voertuigen en een erfenis van veiligere wegen achterlaten voor toekomstige generaties\u201d, zei hij.<\/p>\n<p>PIDG heeft sinds 2002 1 TP9 T33,2 miljard aan investeringen van particuliere investeerders en ontwikkelingsfinancieringsinstellingen bijeengebracht. 209 miljoen mensen hebben toegang tot nieuwe of verbeterde infrastructuur en er zijn 250.000 banen voor de lange termijn gecre\u00eberd.<\/p>\n<p>De heer McInerney zei dat in landen waar PIDG investeert, de kosten van verkeersongevallen vaak meer dan 51.800 biljoen dollar van het nationale bbp bedragen.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201c&quot;We kunnen het ons simpelweg niet veroorloven om gloednieuwe wegen van 1 of 2 sterren aan te leggen.
