Het programma wordt uitgevoerd door DNIT, in samenwerking met lokale deskundigen, waarbij gebruik wordt gemaakt van lokaal onderzoek en lokale middelen, en wordt ondersteund door iRAP.<\/p>\n<p>Jaarlijks komen in Brazili\u00eb meer dan 41.000 mensen om het leven als gevolg van verkeersongevallen, en het aanpakken van risicovolle wegen is van cruciaal belang om het aantal slachtoffers terug te dringen. Als tegen 2030 meer dan 75 procent van het verkeer voor alle weggebruikers plaatsvindt op wegen met drie sterren of beter, kan dit jaarlijks meer dan 13.000 levens redden, met een economisch voordeel van USD$9 voor elke $1 die wordt uitgegeven.
