Overheden, de particuliere sector, ngo&#039;s en experts van over de hele wereld komen samen om te bespreken hoe we de vooruitgang kunnen versnellen en levens kunnen redden.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"ee444651 _1e09f84a\">iRAP<\/span> Ik zal erbij zijn, maar Greg Smith, CEO van iRAP, wil ook graag van u horen \u2013 van mensen die dagelijks in de transport- en infrastructuursector werken.<\/p>\n<p>Als u de microfoon had, wat zou u dan zeggen? Wat moeten wereldleiders horen?<\/p>\n<p>Om u op weg te helpen, volgen hier enkele herinneringen uit het meest recente wereldwijde statusrapport over verkeersveiligheid:<\/p>\n<p>Dagelijks sterven er meer dan 3200 mensen op de wegen in de wereld.<br \/>\n\ud83d\udeb8 Verkeersongevallen blijven de belangrijkste doodsoorzaak voor kinderen en jongvolwassenen van 5 tot 29 jaar.<br \/>\nVeel landen hebben indrukwekkende vooruitgang geboekt en laten zien dat veiliger reizen mogelijk is.<br \/>\nWereldwijd is het aantal dodelijke slachtoffers de afgelopen tien jaar echter slechts met ongeveer 51.800.000 gedaald, terwijl de mobiliteit juist is blijven toenemen.<br \/>\nMinder dan de helft van de wegen wereldwijd heeft een veiligheidsbeoordeling van 3 sterren of hoger.<\/p>\n<p>We hebben zeker vooruitgang geboekt, maar het is lang niet genoeg.<\/p>\n<p>Stel, u zou de kans krijgen om de wereldwijde agenda voor verkeersveiligheid te be\u00efnvloeden, wat zou dan uw prioriteit zijn?<\/p>\n<p>Geen enkel idee is te ambitieus of te praktisch.
