iRAP en de nieuw opgerichte Autom\u00f3vil Club de Chile Stichting<\/a> ongeveer ontmoet bij de Autom\u00f3vil Club de Chile<\/a> (AACHI) in Santiago om samenwerking te bespreken ter verbetering van de verkeersveiligheid en duurzame mobiliteitsinitiatieven in het hele land.<\/p>\n

Julio Urzua, directeur Wereldwijde Projecten bij iRAP, en Morgan Fletcher, manager Latijns-Amerika, hadden een ontmoeting met het AACHI-team, bestaande uit: Maria Ignacia Gonz\u00e1lez (uitvoerend directeur), Concepci\u00f3n Quintana (directeur) en Gonzalo Plaza (voorzitter) van de ACCHI Foundation, en Carlos Larravide (CEO) en Alvaro Bravo (commercieel manager) van ACCHI.<\/p>\n

De Stichting AACHI zet zich in voor het bevorderen van veilige, rechtvaardige en duurzame mobiliteit voor alle Chileense gemeenschappen, en voor het verspreiden van best practices op het gebied van transport en mobiliteit.<\/p>\n

De vergaderingen richtten zich op het opzetten van een samenwerkingskader tussen de twee non-profitorganisaties voor de ontwikkeling, implementatie en promotie van programma's, projecten en initiatieven ter verbetering van mobiliteit en verkeersveiligheid.<\/p>\n

Er werden samenwerkmogelijkheden verkend voor het ontwerp en de uitvoering van gezamenlijke projecten gericht op verkeersveiligheidsonderzoek, beoordeling van weginfrastructuur, capaciteitsopbouw, bewustwording van de gemeenschap, gegevensverzameling en betrokkenheid bij bredere publieke en private initiatieven.<\/p>\n

In Chili, de ACCHI Stichting leidt de implementatie<\/a> van iRAP\u2019s Star Rating for Schools (SR4S)-programma<\/a>, in samenwerking met gemeenten, het Ministerie van Verkeer en Waterstaat en schoolgemeenschappen om veiligere omgevingen voor studenten te cre\u00ebren.<\/p>\n

Daarnaast is AACHI betrokken bij de eerste Latijns-Amerikaanse piloot<\/a> van de Jongerenbetrokkenheid App (JEA)<\/a>. YEA is een interactief platform dat kinderen en jongeren in staat stelt om met gemak verkeersveiligheidsproblemen in de buurt van hun scholen te identificeren en te melden, en zo bij te dragen aan het aanpakken van de grootste killer van hun generatie \u2013 verkeersongevallen.<\/p>\n

Volgens\u00a0iRAP\u2019s Safety Insights Explorer<\/a>, het behalen van VN-doelstelling 4 \u2013 namelijk dat in 2030 meer dan 75% van het verkeer in Chili over wegen van 3 sterren of beter plaatsvindt voor alle weggebruikers \u2013 zal naar schatting 372 levens per jaar redden en 661.727 doden en gewonden voorkomen gedurende de levensduur van 20 jaar van de wegmaatregelen, met een economisch voordeel van $2,1 miljard dollar \u2013 $6,60 voor elke $1 die wordt uitgegeven.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n \n <\/div>\n <\/section>\n\n\n\n\n
