{"id":10888,"date":"2026-05-22T10:34:41","date_gmt":"2026-05-22T00:34:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/irap.org\/?p=10888"},"modified":"2026-05-22T11:11:23","modified_gmt":"2026-05-22T01:11:23","slug":"a-strong-step-forward-for-safer-roads-in-senegal-two-more-irap-accredited-practitioners","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/irap.org\/nl\/a-strong-step-forward-for-safer-roads-in-senegal-two-more-irap-accredited-practitioners\/","title":{"rendered":"Een belangrijke stap voorwaarts voor veiligere wegen in Senegal \u2013 twee extra iRAP-geaccrediteerde professionals!"},"content":{"rendered":"<section  class=\"text-editor-block section-pt-none section-pb-md bg-white\">\n        <div class=\"container\">\n            \n                            <!-- Single Column Layout -->\n                                    <div class=\"anim text-asphalt prose prose-lg text-left\">\n                        <p>We are very pleased to announce that two engineers from AGEROUTE Senegal have obtained iRAP accreditation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ndeye Khady Loum<\/strong> En <strong>Baba Tawel Camara<\/strong>, two young engineers working at the Senegal Road Agency (<a href=\"https:\/\/ageroute.sn\/\">AGEROUTE Senegal<\/a>) have obtained their iRAP accreditation.<\/p>\n<p>They are both members of the <strong>Technical Group of the Senegal Road Assessment Programme \u2013 SnRAP<\/strong> \u2013 established since 2025 as part of the <strong>Ten Step Plan for safer road infrastructure<\/strong> (&#8220;Ten Step Plan Senegal&#8221;), funded by UNRSF.<\/p>\n<p>The contribution of these two highly qualified engineers to the SnRAP programme and the safety of road infrastructure is a significant event for Senegal.<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations again to both of you!<\/p>\n<p><strong style=\"--tw-font-weight: 900\">About The Ten Step Senegal Project:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Het Tienstappenproject voor Senegal, gefinancierd door de <a href=\"https:\/\/unece.org\/un-road-safety-fund\">Fonds voor verkeersveiligheid van de Verenigde Naties (UNRSF)<\/a>, Dit is een samenwerkingsinitiatief waarbij de Senegalese overheid, via het Ministerie van Infrastructuur, Land en Luchtvervoer (MITTA), en het Nationaal Agentschap voor Wegen betrokken zijn. <a href=\"https:\/\/anaser.sn\/\">ANASER<\/a>, samen met een consortium onder leiding van de <a href=\"https:\/\/irap.org\/nl\/\">International Road Assessment Programme (iRAP)<\/a> en inclusief de <a href=\"https:\/\/irfofficial.org\/\">Internationale Wegfederatie (IRF)<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.piarc.org\/en\/\">PIARC (Wereldwegenbond)<\/a> en LASER International, met steun van de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pidg.org\/\">Private Infrastructure Development Group (PIDG)<\/a> En <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fiafoundation.org\/\">FIA Foundation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It provides free training and accreditation pathways for local professionals. We hope examples like these will encourage more emerging road safety practitioners across Senegal to join the training programmes and help build a stronger safety culture nationwide.<\/p>\n<p>Together, these partners are strengthening national road safety systems and ensuring that professionals like Ndeye Khady Loum and Baba Tawel Camara are equipped to drive safer,
