This initiative is part of the broader\u00a0<strong>\u201cLiving Together\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0program, introduced by EPR in September 2025 to strengthen education, operations, and dialogue with users and communities. Through this effort, 40 educational institutions will undergo detailed assessments to identify the most effective measures to protect students on their journeys to and from school.<\/p>\n<p>The program is being rolled out across six of EPR\u2019s highway concessionaires in Minas Gerais and Paran\u00e1, with an estimated 20,000 students set to benefit from the planned safety improvements.<\/p>\n<p>The urgency of the initiative is evident: every year, according to the UN, 1.35 million people die in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/exame.com\/brasil\/motoristas-homens-morrem-mais-que-mulheres-em-acidentes-de-transito-em-sp\/\"><strong>traffic crashes<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and between 30 and 50 million are injured .
