The user-friendly tool supports the proactive evaluation, development, and monitoring of road safety projects, strategies, and plans with the goal of reducing fatalities and serious injuries on the roads.<\/li>\n<li>iRAP&#8217;s comprehensive suite of innovative <a href=\"https:\/\/irap.org\/rap-tools\/\">RAPTools<\/a>, developed with global partners and managed within a stringent <a href=\"https:\/\/irap.org\/innovation\/\">Innovation Framework<\/a>, support infrastructure safety management aligned to achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), the Global Plan for Decade of Action for Road Safety 2021-2030 and <a href=\"https:\/\/irap.org\/2018\/04\/targets-3-4-what-they-mean-for-safer-roads-globally\/\">Global Road Safety Performance Targets 3 and 4<\/a>. The tools can be used throughout all stages of a road\u2019s lifecycle to identify high-risk road sections and optimise safety investment for all road users.<\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/irap.org\/2020\/09\/are-you-developing-your-next-road-safety-action-plan\/\">iRAP Global Infrastructure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Road Safety<\/a>\u00a0provide the policy road map and recommended metrics for measuring success.<\/li>\n<li>iRAP\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/irap.org\/project\/ai-rap\/\">AiRAP Initiative<\/a> is helping to improve access to, and application of, existing and emerging data sources aligned to the global safety standard, including advances in artificial intelligence, machine learning, vision systems, LIDAR and telematics. AiRAP stands for the \u2018accelerated and intelligent\u2019 capture of road safety-related data using automatic, repeatable and scalable methods to support road safety assessment, crash risk mapping, and investment prioritisation for all road users.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The policy recommendations agreed at the ITF Summit \u2013 the world\u2019s largest gathering of transport ministers \u2013 represent the first recommendations made in three years. The theme of the summit was \u201ctransport resilience to global shocks\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is great news. It could enlighten the way transport policies are implemented,\u201d said Juan Carlos Mu\u00f1oz, Chilean Minister of Transport and President of the ITF.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are extremely important links between resilient transport systems and strengthening health and safety.
