In addition, a second review meeting was held with the European Commission at the offices of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.polisnetwork.eu\/\">POLIS Network<\/a>\u00a0in Brussels.<\/p>\n<p>The EU-funded\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/phoebe-project.eu\/\">\u2018Predictive Approaches for Safer Urban Environment\u2019 (PHOEBE) Project<\/a>\u00a0aims to increase the road safety of vulnerable road users (VRUs), especially those who use active mobility and e-scooters. It is building on the strengths of iRAP\u2019s road safety assessment tools and AIMSUN\u2019s simulation and Artificial Intelligence to deliver harmonised, integrated and world-leading safety prediction tools that take account of gender, age and ability levels in providing for future mobility.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What was discussed?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Although PHOEBE cannot disclose any sensitive deliverables from \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/phoebe-project.eu\/phoebe-theory\/\">Work Package 3<\/a>\u2019, its finalisation marked a significant milestone towards the project\u2019s conclusion. High-level summaries of the results will be published on the <a href=\"https:\/\/phoebe-project.eu\/\">PHOEBE website<\/a> in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Internal discussions focused on the division of tasks within Work Package 5: \u2018systems integration and transferability\u2019. This package will synthesise the data collection, analyses, tests, and other outputs from the previous work packages, by consolidating and meaningfully combining the acquired knowledge. This capstone task will culminate in a set of recommendations to be presented at the end of the project.<\/p>\n<p>Further planning also took place for forthcoming communication activities and potential future collaboration with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tudelft.nl\/\">EU Road Safety Cluster<\/a>.
