Notre responsable Formation et Accr\u00e9ditation, Franco Azzato, a r\u00e9cemment pr\u00e9sent\u00e9, en tant qu&#039;expert technique, au Parlement uruguayen, le potentiel salvateur des gilets airbags pour les motocyclistes. Il a aliment\u00e9 les discussions sur un projet de loi obligeant les employeurs \u00e0 en fournir aux travailleurs qui utilisent des motos au quotidien, comme les livreurs et les gestionnaires de flottes.<\/p>\n<p>Selon <a href=\"https:\/\/www.telenoche.com.uy\/nacionales\/proyecto-plantea-uso-obligatorio-chalecos-airbag-motociclistas-uruguay-n5384522\">donn\u00e9es de l&#039;Unit\u00e9 nationale de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 routi\u00e8re (UNASEV)<\/a>Les motocyclistes repr\u00e9sentent 49 pour cent des personnes tu\u00e9es dans des accidents de la route en Uruguay et 65 pour cent des personnes bless\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p>M. Azzato a pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 \u00e0 la Chambre des d\u00e9put\u00e9s le 22 mai et a fourni une explication technique d\u00e9taill\u00e9e de la fonctionnalit\u00e9 et des avantages en mati\u00e8re de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des syst\u00e8mes d&#039;airbag pour motos :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Citant MAPFRE (2021), il a not\u00e9 que 24 % des blessures mortelles lors d&#039;accidents de moto touchent la r\u00e9gion thoracique, et non la t\u00eate. Si les casques sont indispensables, ils n&#039;offrent pas une protection compl\u00e8te du corps.<\/li>\n<li>Les motos ne disposent pas de syst\u00e8mes de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 passive tels que des ceintures de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 ou des airbags int\u00e9gr\u00e9s et, par cons\u00e9quent, les motocyclistes sont beaucoup plus vuln\u00e9rables aux forces d&#039;impact et au transfert d&#039;\u00e9nergie en cas d&#039;accident.<\/li>\n<li>Les gilets airbag r\u00e9duisent les forces de d\u00e9c\u00e9l\u00e9ration subies par les zones critiques du torse lors d&#039;un accident. En ralentissant l&#039;impact plus progressivement, ils contribuent \u00e0 minimiser les traumatismes au thorax et au dos. Ils stabilisent \u00e9galement la nuque en coordination avec le casque, contribuant ainsi \u00e0 pr\u00e9venir le coup du lapin cervical.<\/li>\n<li>La mise en place de gilets de protection peut produire des r\u00e9sultats imm\u00e9diats. La technologie est d\u00e9sormais facilement disponible et accessible, mais la l\u00e9gislation doit \u00e9galement exiger le respect de normes de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 certifi\u00e9es pour les produits.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Le travail de M. Azzato chez iRAP est compl\u00e9mentaire \u00e0 celui de iRAP Star Ratings, qui fournit une mesure objective du niveau de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 int\u00e9gr\u00e9 aux infrastructures routi\u00e8res pour les motocyclistes. Une route not\u00e9e 1 \u00e9toile est la moins s\u00fbre, tandis qu&#039;une route not\u00e9e 5 \u00e9toiles est la plus s\u00fbre.
