{"id":6270,"date":"2026-03-02T23:22:05","date_gmt":"2026-03-02T12:22:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress.temp.irap-dev.org\/safety-by-design-how-senegals-a1-motorway-cut-deaths-by-24-in-three-years\/"},"modified":"2026-05-11T10:57:14","modified_gmt":"2026-05-11T00:57:14","slug":"safety-by-design-how-senegals-a1-motorway-cut-deaths-by-24-in-three-years","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/irap.org\/fr\/safety-by-design-how-senegals-a1-motorway-cut-deaths-by-24-in-three-years\/","title":{"rendered":"La s\u00e9curit\u00e9 d\u00e8s la conception : comment l&#x27;autoroute A1 au S\u00e9n\u00e9gal a r\u00e9duit le nombre de d\u00e9c\u00e8s de 241 % en trois ans"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Une baisse de 241 000 d\u00e9c\u00e8s et bless\u00e9s en seulement trois ans.<\/p>\n<p>C\u2019est le r\u00e9sultat obtenu entre 2022 et 2025 sur l\u2019Autoroute de l\u2019Avenir (A1) \u00e0 Dakar, l\u2019une des autoroutes les plus fr\u00e9quent\u00e9es du S\u00e9n\u00e9gal, reliant la capitale \u00e0 l\u2019a\u00e9roport et aux principales r\u00e9gions \u00e9conomiques du pays.<\/p>\n<p>Cela n'est pas arriv\u00e9 par hasard.<\/p>\n<p>Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un plan d'action cibl\u00e9 et \u00e0 des am\u00e9liorations d'infrastructure r\u00e9alis\u00e9es par <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eiffage.com\/\">Eiffage<\/a> de la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 des Autoroutes du S\u00e9n\u00e9gal (SECAA), un partenaire priv\u00e9 du gouvernement s\u00e9n\u00e9galais, des milliers de personnes suppl\u00e9mentaires rentrent d\u00e9sormais chez elles en toute s\u00e9curit\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Les \u00e9valuations de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 iRAP ont permis d'orienter ces am\u00e9liorations, avec des mesures pratiques mises en \u0153uvre telles que :<\/p>\n<p>\u27a1\ufe0f Cloisons centrales et barri\u00e8res de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 \u00e0 confinement \u00e9lev\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>\u27a1\ufe0f Accotements avec bandes rugueuses.<\/p>\n<p>\u27a1\ufe0f \u00c9clairage public, notamment en zone urbaine, et aux intersections \u00e0 l'est de l'autoroute.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c9crans anti-reflets.<\/p>\n<p>L'impact va \u00e9galement au-del\u00e0 des vies sauv\u00e9es. Moins d'accidents graves signifient moins d'op\u00e9rations de d\u00e9pannage, une r\u00e9duction des co\u00fbts d'exploitation et moins d'embouteillages. La s\u00e9curit\u00e9 g\u00e9n\u00e8re \u00e9galement des avantages op\u00e9rationnels et financiers.<\/p>\n<p>C'est un excellent exemple de ce que signifie concr\u00e8tement investir dans la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 routi\u00e8re. Il reste encore beaucoup \u00e0 faire, notamment pour am\u00e9liorer la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des deux-roues motoris\u00e9s, mais les progr\u00e8s r\u00e9alis\u00e9s sur l'A1 d\u00e9montrent ce qui peut \u00eatre accompli lorsque les donn\u00e9es, le financement et la mise en \u0153uvre convergent.<\/p>\n<p>En tant que S\u00e9n\u00e9gal h\u00f4te <a href=\"https:\/\/sn.linkedin.com\/company\/dakar-2026-comit%C3%A9-d-organisation-des-jeux-olympiques-de-la-jeunesse-dakar-2026?trk=public_post-text\">#Dakar2026 Jeux Olympiques de la Jeunesse<\/a> Cette ann\u00e9e, ces am\u00e9liorations tombent \u00e0 pic.<\/p>\n<p>Et l'\u00e9lan prend de l'ampleur.
