Forbes\u2019 article \u201cRoad Innovation From Sweden Saves Lives Around The Globe\u201d features EuroRAP\u2019s work. The article is dedicated to the Swedish 2+1 road design that influenced other countries and saved thousands of lives. iRAP, the EuroRAP umbrella organisation, recommends 2+1 installations in a range of countries.<\/p>\n

EuroRAP Secretary-General Lina Konstantinopoulou endorses Sweden for having dramatically reduced road crashes due to this design. \u201cThe 2+1 design is an important countermeasure for road engineers and designers and will be key to helping countries meet the United Nations Global Road Safety Performance Targets,\u201d Mrs. Konstantinopoulou said.<\/p>\n

In Stockholm, in February, several days before the 3rd Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety, Mrs. Konstantinopoulou gave the prestigious iRAP Global Innovation Award to Sweden\u2019s Minister for Infrastructure Tomas Eneroth.<\/p>\n
