We are looking for a Safer Journeys Lead for Africa!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>iRAP recherche une personne dynamique et enthousiaste, passionn\u00e9e par la mobilit\u00e9 s\u00fbre et poss\u00e9dant une exp\u00e9rience dans le domaine de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des infrastructures routi\u00e8res, pour rejoindre notre \u00e9quipe.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dans ce nouveau r\u00f4le, le responsable Safer Journeys pour l'Europe travaillera avec un \u00e9ventail de partenaires pour cr\u00e9er des routes plus s\u00fbres et des trajets plus s\u00fbrs pour tous.<\/p>\n<p>The Safer Journeys Lead for Africa position is part of iRAP\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/irap.org\/fr\/2021\/11\/irap-releases-plan-for-2nd-decade-of-action\/\">Partenariats pour un impact en 2030<\/a> strat\u00e9gie, qui place les partenariats au c\u0153ur du programme et reconna\u00eet les nombreux succ\u00e8s obtenus dans l'\u00e9limination des routes \u00e0 haut risque gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la collaboration entre les autorit\u00e9s routi\u00e8res, les banques de d\u00e9veloppement, les donateurs, les instituts, les ONG et le secteur priv\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>The target of the 2021-2030 Decade of Action for Road Safety is a halving of road death and injury and across Africa countries are putting into place plans that align with the global target.<\/p>\n<p>The Safer Journeys Lead for Africa will support efforts to ensure that roads and designs are fundamentally safe and accessible for all modes, abilities, and journeys, which will be vitally important in achieving safety and sustainability targets across the region.<\/p>\n<p>Les responsabilit\u00e9s cl\u00e9s du poste comprennent :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mise en \u0153uvre des iRAP <a href=\"https:\/\/irap.org\/fr\/2021\/11\/irap-releases-plan-for-2nd-decade-of-action\/\">Partenariats pour un impact en 2030<\/a> strategy in Africa.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborating with, and supporting, partners to implement the Global Plan for the Decade of Action for Road Safety 2021-30 in the context of more sustainable, active and inclusive transport as set out in the Sustainable Development Goals.<\/li>\n<li>Supporting partners in the development of evidence-based national and region policies that promote road safety.<\/li>\n<li>Supporting the use of evidence-based infrastructure safety management initiatives such as Star Ratings for Designs (SR4D), Star Rating for Schools (SR4S) and partner-developed tools.<\/li>\n<li>Supporting the growth of local capability to perform road safety assessments through training and accreditation and the establishment of locally-led RAPs.<\/li>\n<li>Building on well-established global and regional networks and connecting partners with common needs and potential to create safer roads and safer journeys for all. This includes actively engaging with key counterparts in partner organisations such as the African Union, development banks including African Development Bank, World Bank, European Investment Bank, bi-lateral donors, United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), World Health Organization (WHO), Global Road Safety Partnership (GRSP), Global Alliance for NGOs, and national road agencies, NGOs and institutes.<\/li>\n<li>Repr\u00e9senter iRAP lors de r\u00e9unions et d&#x27;\u00e9v\u00e9nements nationaux et internationaux de haut niveau.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborer avec le principal bailleur de fonds de iRAP, \u00e0 savoir FIA Foundation, et le soutenir dans le cadre de son programme \u00ab Design for Life 2030 Agenda \u00bb, en mettant l&#x27;accent sur la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 routi\u00e8re, la qualit\u00e9 de l&#x27;air et la lutte contre le changement climatique.<\/li>\n<li>Encourager une forte participation des organisations partenaires aux initiatives d&#x27;innovation et de d\u00e9veloppement telles que AiRAP et CycleRAP, par le biais du cadre d&#x27;innovation de iRAP et du Comit\u00e9 technique mondial.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Safer Journeys Lead for Africa will report to the iRAP Global Programme Director and work closely with iRAP team members and partners.<\/p>\n<p>The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years\u2019 experience in road infrastructure safety policy, strategy and\/or implementation in Africa, preferably including experience working with a road agency or authority, be familiar with African and global sustainable development policy agendas, and have outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English, French and, ideally, Arabic.<\/p>\n<p>Le r\u00f4le peut \u00eatre effectu\u00e9 \u00e0 distance (le candidat devra disposer de ses propres installations de \u2018 bureau \u00e0 domicile \u2019, y compris une connexion Internet fiable, un ordinateur \u00e0 jour et un environnement de travail s\u00fbr et appropri\u00e9), et\/ou \u00eatre int\u00e9gr\u00e9 au sein d'une organisation partenaire.
