{"id":3511,"date":"2022-11-04T01:01:00","date_gmt":"2022-11-03T14:01:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress.temp.irap-dev.org\/global-partnerships-and-safer-schools-under-spotlight-at-irf-r2t-conference-in-washington\/"},"modified":"2026-04-30T12:40:02","modified_gmt":"2026-04-30T02:40:02","slug":"global-partnerships-and-safer-schools-under-spotlight-at-irf-r2t-conference-in-washington","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/irap.org\/fr\/global-partnerships-and-safer-schools-under-spotlight-at-irf-r2t-conference-in-washington\/","title":{"rendered":"Les partenariats mondiaux et des \u00e9coles plus s\u00fbres \u00e0 l'honneur lors de la conf\u00e9rence IRF R2T \u00e0 Washington"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Thanks to our partners, iRAP&#8217;s influence in creating safer school journeys and delivering vision zero through partnerships was presented at this week\u2019s International Road Federation (IRF Global) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irf.global\/event\/r2t22-dc\/\">R2T Conference<\/a> in Washington DC.<\/p>\n<p>Under the conference theme The Future of Roadways: Green, Equitable, Intelligent and Integrated, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usrap.org\/what-usrap\">usRAP<\/a> Lead and Managing Director of the Roadway Safety Foundation Bruce Hamilton presented in a plenary session on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irf.global\/event\/r2t22-dc\/\">Delivering Vision Zero through Partnerships<\/a> empowered by the iRAP global road infrastructure safety standard which underpins UN Global Road Safety Performance <a href=\"https:\/\/irap.org\/fr\/2018\/04\/targets-3-4-what-they-mean-for-safer-roads-globally\/\">Cibles 3 et 4<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Dan Chen, Vice President and General Manager of 3M also presented on <a href=\"https:\/\/starratingforschools.org\/2020\/06\/irap-and-3m-announce-partnership-to-improve-safety-for-school-children-around-the-world\/\">3M\u2019s Global Programme Partnership<\/a> with <a href=\"https:\/\/starratingforschools.org\/\">Notation par \u00e9toiles pour les \u00e9coles<\/a>, showcasing their school zone initiative which aims to improve the safety of 100 school zones by 2024 and raise global awareness of the road dangers children face.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Chen spoke warmly of the partnership and shared 3M\u2019s plans to amplify its commitment to keeping roads safe with its school zone transformations.
