La route supporte un trafic intense \u00e0 haute vitesse, m\u00e9langeant voitures, motos et v\u00e9hicules lourds. Il y a quatre ronds-points majeurs, une forte proportion de deux-roues et une pr\u00e9sence significative de pi\u00e9tons traversant \u00e0 plusieurs endroits.<\/p>\n<p>Le corridor \u00e0 deux voies de 11,6 km a \u00e9t\u00e9 identifi\u00e9 comme un corridor de d\u00e9monstration de deuxi\u00e8me cat\u00e9gorie par la Banque Mondiale et le D\u00e9partement des routes et des b\u00e2timents du gouvernement du Gujarat. LEA Associates South Asia, le consultant du projet, a confi\u00e9 \u00e0 l'iRAP la t\u00e2che d'\u00e9valuer la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 du corridor existant et de la conception de la route.<\/p>\n<p>Les \u00e9valuations de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 iRAP de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence ont \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9es pour la route existante et des \u00e9valuations de la conception propos\u00e9e. Des traitements suppl\u00e9mentaires ont \u00e9t\u00e9 sugg\u00e9r\u00e9s par l'\u00e9quipe IndiaRAP pour \u00eatre inclus dans la conception afin de garantir que la route atteigne des \u00e9valuations de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 de 3 \u00e9toiles ou mieux pour tous les usagers. Celles-ci comprenaient la refonte et l'am\u00e9lioration de la qualit\u00e9 des intersections, l'am\u00e9lioration des routes d'acc\u00e8s, des mesures de ralentissement de la vitesse, des passages pi\u00e9tons signalis\u00e9s, des trottoirs et des arr\u00eats de bus.
