Both will be integral for supporting the policy, KPI, programme, project and investment discussions of decision makers, partners, donors and suppliers looking ahead to 2030.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/roadsafety\/publications\/20200219-202801-4216-unrsf-10-steps-infrastructure.PDF?ua=1\">The Ten Step Plan for Safer Road Infrastructure<\/a>\u201d Report is published by the Project Group \u201cSafer Roads and Mobility\u201d of the United Nations Road Safety Collaboration Group (UNRSC). It features iRAP metrics drawn from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vaccinesforroads.org\/\">Vaccins pour routes<\/a>, based on 358,000km of road infrastructure assessments from 54 countries worldwide where more than 700 billion kilometres of vehicle travel occurs every year. Credits are given to the RAP Protocols. The report includes iRAP\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vaccinesforroads.org\/business-case-for-safer-roads\/\">Cas d'affaires pour des routes plus s\u00fbres<\/a> that provides a high-level global estimate of the lives and serious injuries that can be saved, and the social and economic benefits of achieving UN Target 4 for more than 75% of travel on 3-star or better roads for all road users by 2030.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wordpress.temp.irap-dev.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Towards-Targets-doc.jpg\" alt=\"Towards Targets doc\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In addition, our partners Vias Institute and the Global Road Safety Partnership have published the &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/roadsafety\/publications\/Towards-the-12-Voluntary-Global-Targets-for-Road-Safety.pdf?ua=1\">12 Voluntary Global Road Safety Performance Targets<\/a>&#8221; Report, providing guidance to countries on how to operationalize and utilize the <a href=\"https:\/\/irap.org\/fr\/2018\/04\/targets-3-4-what-they-mean-for-safer-roads-globally\/\">UN Global Targets for Road Safety<\/a>. A consensus on the Targets was reached during a meeting of the World Health Organisation (WHO) Member States in November 2017 in Geneva, Switzerland. iRAP CEO Rob McInerney was among the key contributors to the WHO-endorsed report which includes the RAP Protocols.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wordpress.temp.irap-dev.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/VIAS-report-2020.jpg\" alt=\"VIAS report 2020\" \/><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The World Health Organisation has published two important documents to support the UN Global Targets for Road Safety in which iRAP and our partners work around the world is central.
