Both projects used the iRAP approach to model and improve the safety case and were supported by the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/roadsafetyfoundation.org\/\">Road Safety Foundation<\/a>, United Kingdom RAP programme lead.<\/li>\n<li><strong>2023 \u2013 Prince Michael International Road Safety Award<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/irap.org\/ten-step-tanzania-project-receives-prince-michael-international-award\/\">For the\u00a0world-first Ten Step Tanzania Project<\/a>, which has built sustainable institutional capacity, impact, and partnerships to eliminate high-risk roads in Tanzania.\u00a0Jointly funded by the United Nations Road Safety Fund (UNRSF) and the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (UKAid), through the Global Road Safety Facility (GRSF) of the World Bank, the 30-month pilot project aimed to curb the more than 16,000 people (estimated) who die on Tanzania\u2019s roads each year.<\/li>\n<li><strong>2023 \u2013 Prince Michael International Road Safety Award<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/irap.org\/the-road-safety-capacity-building-programme-wins-the-2023-prince-michael-international-road-safety-award\/\">For the Road Safety Capacity Building Programme (RSCBP)<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 An innovative capacity-building programme focused on building road safety capacity and technical knowledge among professionals in LMICs.
