Join us in May for iRAP\u2019s 2026 Innovation Workshop on future-ready roads, an unmissable event being held in partnership with TRA2026<\/a> in Budapest.<\/p>\n

The iRAP Innovation Workshop will be held on 20 May during Transport Research Arena (TRA). TRA is Europe\u2019s biggest transport conference attracting over 3,000 participants and 100 exhibitors from across the world drawn from industry, government, transport operators, financing institutions, academia and civil society. With the theme \u201cReGeneration in Transport\u201d, TRA2026 will be held from 18-21 May and explore challenges facing the global transport sector, new solutions and business models, and latest research and developments in mobility and transport.<\/p>\n

iRAP’s one-day Innovation Workshop is set to be a high-energy, thought-provoking forum drawing road safety leaders and experts working at the cutting edge to create \u201cFuture Ready Roads for Safe, Sustainable Mobility\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n

About the Workshop<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Innovation and collaboration will be key to promoting safe, inclusive, green and efficient transportation systems in the UN Decade of Sustainable Transport 2026-2035. Momentum must also continue to drive progress in the Decade of Action for Road Safety 2021-2030 which aims to halve global road deaths and injuries by 2030.<\/p>\n

Working together with global leaders who are pioneering the future of transport and mobility, iRAP partners are driving evidence-based technologies, policy, financing and systems for a world free of high-risk roads. <\/span>Transformation in iRAP methodologies and tools is leveraging partners’ efforts to create safer streets, roads and highways which prioritise vulnerable road users. AI-powered solutions like <\/span>AiRAP<\/span> are revolutionizing road assessment, risk mapping, and predictive analytics for smarter, data-driven decisions, performance tracking, and asset management on scale. Harmonised safety prediction tools are ensuring gender, age and abilities are provided for in future mobility, while living labs are testing next-gen mobility solutions in real-time for climate-neutral cities. By integrating and dashboarding diverse datasets, raw data is being transformed into powerful, actionable intelligence. And empowering our global community, c<\/span>apacity is being built in countries thanks to innovative programmes which are unlocking new pathways for engagement and cross-border advancement.\u00a0<\/span>By integrating cutting-edge technology, expert insights and global learnings, world-leading solutions are empowering safer, more resilient roads in the face of rapid global urbanisation.

Join us for iRAP’s 2026 Innovation Workshop, mobilising the world\u2019s best minds to support achievement of UN Targets 3 and 4 which include ensuring all new roads are built to a 3-star or better standard for all road users (Target 3), and more than 75% of travel is on the equivalent of 3-star or better roads for all road users by 2030 (Target 4).<\/p>\n
