{"id":68600,"date":"2023-12-11T23:18:51","date_gmt":"2023-12-11T23:18:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/irap.org\/?p=68600"},"modified":"2024-02-16T03:57:27","modified_gmt":"2024-02-16T03:57:27","slug":"planning-commences-for-the-4th-ministerial-conference-in-morocco","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/irap.org\/es\/2023\/12\/planning-commences-for-the-4th-ministerial-conference-in-morocco\/","title":{"rendered":"Comienza la planificaci\u00f3n de la IV Conferencia Ministerial en Marruecos"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[et_pb_section fb_built=&#8221;1&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;4.16&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][et_pb_row _builder_version=&#8221;4.16&#8243; background_size=&#8221;initial&#8221; background_position=&#8221;top_left&#8221; background_repeat=&#8221;repeat&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][et_pb_column type=&#8221;4_4&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;4.16&#8243; custom_padding=&#8221;|||&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; custom_padding__hover=&#8221;|||&#8221;][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.23.1&#8243; background_size=&#8221;initial&#8221; background_position=&#8221;top_left&#8221; background_repeat=&#8221;repeat&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>iRAP was pleased to join the Planning Committee Meeting for the 4th Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety in Geneva this week, alongside representatives of the United Nations, World Health Organisation and global road safety lead partners.<\/p>\n<p>The 4th Ministerial will be held in Marrakech, Morocco on February 18-19, 2025 and aims to assess the progress made in implementing the Global Plan for Road Safety 2021-2030 during its initial five-year period, and to generate support for the new vision of safe and sustainable mobility.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting also brought together representatives from the Ministry of Transport and Logistics Morocco, Morocco National Road Safety Agency (NARSA), FIA Foundation, Global Alliance of NGOs for Road Safety, Towards Zero Foundation, OECD International Transport Forum (ITF), International Road Federation (IRF), Global Road Safety Partnership (GRSP), World Bank Global Road Safety Facility, Youth for Road Safety (YOURS), Walk21, Swedish Transport Administration, Indian Institute of Technology, Ministry of Transport Vietnam, Australian Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Communications, Federal Road Safety Corps Nigeria, Ministerial Committee of Traffic Safety Saudi Arabia, National Committee for Road Safety Saudi Arabia and the Mayor of Accra, Ghana.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting was co-chaired by Benacer Boulaajoul, Director General of the National Road Safety Agency, Morocco and Etienne Krug, Director of Social Determinants of Health from the World Health Organisation.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_image src=&#8221;https:\/\/irap.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/Morocco-Ministerial-meeting-1.jpg&#8221; title_text=&#8221;Morocco Ministerial meeting 1&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;4.23.1&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][\/et_pb_image][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.23.1&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>The last (3rd) Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety was held in Stockholm in 2020 and convened 1700 delegates from around 140 countries, including more than 70 ministers and vice-ministers and heads of international agencies, civil society organizations, foundations and private companies.
