After the presentation of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/eurorap.org\/eurorap-lunchtime-seminar-no-2-airap\/\">AiRAP<\/a>, this will be the second time we will feature\u00a0<strong>Research and Innovation Hot Topic<\/strong>\u00a0and also this time we will be joined by\u00a0<strong>Monica Olyslagers, iRAP\u2019s Global Innovation Manager and Cities Specialist<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CycleRAP<\/strong>\u00a0is an easy, affordable, and fast method of evaluating road and bicycling infrastructure for safety. It aims to reduce crashes and improve safety specifically for bicyclists and other light mobility users by identifying high risk locations without the need for crash data. CycleRAP will power software tools used for pinpointing and mapping where bicyclist and light mobility crashes are likely to occur. The model uses data about the features of a road, street or path to evaluate the risk of crashes for bicyclists and light mobility users\u2014irrespective of the type of facility (or whether it is on or off road) and for all crash types. It can be used anywhere in the world.<\/p>\n<p>Learn about the problems CycleRAP can help solve, who can use it and many other interesting things about this new method during our next Lunchtime seminar. At the end, Monica Olyslagers will also be available for your questions about CycleRAP.<\/p>\n<p>CycleRAP seminar will be the sixth in the EuroRAP\u2019s lunchtime seminar series which will provide information about the EuroRAP protocols through the \u2018RAP basics\u2019 events, insight into iRAP research and innovation through our \u2018Hot Topic\u2019 seminars and inspiration for EuroRAP programmes through our \u2018National schemes spotlight\u2019 seminars.
