Inform\u00f3 las discusiones sobre la legislaci\u00f3n propuesta que har\u00eda obligatorio que los empleadores los proporcionaran a los trabajadores que usan motocicletas como parte de su trabajo diario, como repartidores y operadores de flotas.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan <a href=\"https:\/\/www.telenoche.com.uy\/nacionales\/proyecto-plantea-uso-obligatorio-chalecos-airbag-motociclistas-uruguay-n5384522\">datos de la Unidad Nacional de Seguridad Vial (UNASEV)<\/a>, los motociclistas representan el 49 por ciento de los fallecidos en siniestros viales en Uruguay, y el 65 por ciento de las personas lesionadas.<\/p>\n<p>El Sr. Azzato se present\u00f3 ante la C\u00e1mara de Diputados el 22 de mayo y proporcion\u00f3 una explicaci\u00f3n t\u00e9cnica detallada de la funcionalidad y los beneficios de seguridad de los sistemas de airbag para motocicletas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Citando a MAPFRE (2021), se\u00f1al\u00f3 que el 24 por ciento de las lesiones fatales en accidentes de motocicleta afectan la regi\u00f3n tor\u00e1cica, no la cabeza. Si bien los cascos son indispensables, no ofrecen protecci\u00f3n para todo el cuerpo.<\/li>\n<li>Las motocicletas carecen de sistemas de seguridad pasiva como cinturones de seguridad o airbags incorporados y, como resultado, los motociclistas son mucho m\u00e1s vulnerables a las fuerzas de impacto y la transferencia de energ\u00eda en caso de accidente.<\/li>\n<li>Los chalecos airbag reducen las fuerzas de desaceleraci\u00f3n que experimentan las \u00e1reas cr\u00edticas del torso durante un choque. Al ralentizar el impacto de manera m\u00e1s progresiva, ayudan a minimizar el trauma en el pecho y la espalda. Los chalecos airbag tambi\u00e9n estabilizan la zona del cuello en coordinaci\u00f3n con el casco, ayudando a prevenir esguinces cervicales.<\/li>\n<li>La implementaci\u00f3n de chalecos protectores puede arrojar resultados de inmediato. La tecnolog\u00eda est\u00e1 ahora f\u00e1cilmente disponible y accesible, pero la legislaci\u00f3n tambi\u00e9n debe exigir el cumplimiento de los est\u00e1ndares de seguridad de productos certificados.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>El trabajo del Sr. Azzato en iRAP es complementario en el espacio, ya que las Clasificaciones de Seguridad iRAP proporcionan una medida objetiva del nivel de seguridad \u2018incorporado\u2019 en la infraestructura vial para los motociclistas. Una carretera de 1 estrella es la menos segura, mientras que una carretera de 5 estrellas es la m\u00e1s segura.
