TanRAP es uno de los hitos clave del Plan de diez pasos para un proyecto de infraestructura vial m\u00e1s segura,<\/a> Con el objetivo de fortalecer la capacidad institucional del pa\u00eds y contribuir a los esfuerzos del Gobierno de Tanzania para reducir las lesiones y muertes por accidentes de tr\u00e1nsito, en consonancia con el Plan Mundial para el Decenio de Acci\u00f3n para la Seguridad Vial 2021-2030.<\/p>\n

El 14 de septiembre de 2022, las organizaciones financiadoras y de apoyo de TanRAP se reunieron en Dar es Salaam para conmemorar el lanzamiento del proyecto, presidido por el Honorable Atupele Mwakibete, Viceministro (Transporte) del Ministerio de Obras P\u00fablicas y Transporte. Financiado conjuntamente por la\u00a0Fondo de las Naciones Unidas para la Seguridad Vial (UNRSF)<\/a>\u00a0y por el Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores, de la Commonwealth y de Desarrollo (UKAid)<\/a>, a trav\u00e9s del\u00a0Mecanismo Mundial de Seguridad Vial (GRSF)<\/a>\u00a0del Banco mundial<\/a>, El Plan de Diez Pasos de Tanzania es un proyecto de 30 meses dise\u00f1ado para satisfacer las necesidades espec\u00edficas de Tanzania y construir capacidad institucional, impacto y alianzas sostenibles. Bajo la direcci\u00f3n de Comisi\u00f3n Econ\u00f3mica para \u00c1frica de las Naciones Unidas (CEPA)<\/a> El proyecto est\u00e1 siendo implementado por un consorcio liderado por la Federaci\u00f3n Internacional de Carreteras (IRF)<\/a>, y incluye el International Road Assessment Programme (iRAP)<\/a>, el Asociaci\u00f3n Mundial de Carreteras (PIARC)<\/a> y el Asociaci\u00f3n de Carreteras de Tanzania (TARA)<\/a>.
