Governments, the private sector, NGOs and experts from around the world will come together to discuss how we can accelerate progress and save lives.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"ee444651 _1e09f84a\">iRAP<\/span> will be there, but iRAP CEO Greg Smith is also keen to hear from you &#8211; people working in transport and infrastructure every day.<\/p>\n<p>If you had the microphone, what would you say? What do world leaders need to hear?<\/p>\n<p>To get you started, here are a few reminders from the latest Global Status Report on Road Safety:<\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\udeb8 More than 3,200 people die on the world&#8217;s roads every day.<br \/>\n\ud83d\udeb8 Road traffic injuries remain the leading cause of death for children and young adults aged 5\u201329.<br \/>\n\ud83d\udeb8 Many countries have made impressive progress and shown that safer journeys are possible.<br \/>\n\ud83d\udeb8 Yet globally, fatalities have fallen by only around 5% over the last decade &#8211; even as mobility has continued to grow.<br \/>\n\ud83d\udeb8 Less than half of the world&#8217;s roads achieve a 3-star safety rating or better.<\/p>\n<p>For sure we\u2019ve seen progress, but it&#8217;s nowhere near enough.<\/p>\n<p>So, if you had the opportunity to influence the global road safety agenda, what would be your priority?<\/p>\n<p>No idea is too huge or too practical.
