International Women in Engineering Day (June 23 2021) is an international awareness campaign to raise the profile of women in engineering and focus attention on the career opportunities available to females in this industry. It celebrates the outstanding achievements of women engineers throughout the world.

This year the theme is ‘Engineering Heroes’ recognising the amazing work that women in engineering around the world are doing as a response to the COVID19 pandemic and also to support lives and livelihoods every day.

Our #RAPcommunity is made up of just over 20% females and we’re keen to encourage women to contribute to save lives around the world on our roads.

This year you will see a few initiatives from iRAP that will benefit and encourage women to be part of our #RAPcommunity, including:

  • celebrating women making a difference in road safety as part of the International Women in Engineering Day campaign.
  • selecting 20 women to take our Star Rating Essentials and Star Rating for Designs courses for free.

Watch out for this space and don’t miss this opportunity!

In the meantime, watch some videos below celebrating women in the road safety!
